Kia India announced the prices of the Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG on 18 September 2026. The Carens Clavis CNG starts at ₹12,38,800, while the top version goes up to ₹13,34,800.
Both models get a factory-fitted CNG kit, which means the complete CNG system is installed and tuned by Kia at the factory instead of being added later by a dealer or local workshop.

Kia Carens CNG Price in India
Kia is offering three CNG variants for now. There is one Carens CNG variant and two Carens Clavis CNG options.

The ex-showroom price is the cost of the vehicle before registration, insurance, road tax and other charges are added.
Interestingly, the price difference between the Carens CNG and the entry-level Clavis CNG is just ₹27,000.
Moving from the Carens Clavis HTE CNG to the HTE (O) CNG costs another ₹96,000.
Kia Carens CNG On-Road Price in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune
The actual Kia Carens CNG on-road price will naturally be higher than the ex-showroom figure.
The final amount includes registration charges, road tax, insurance and other applicable fees. These charges are different in every state and city.
Kia has not announced official city-wise on-road prices yet.

The Kia Carens Clavis CNG is available in two versions: HTE CNG and HTE (O) CNG.
The HTE (O) is positioned above the standard HTE and generally includes additional equipment and features.
The Carens Clavis CNG top model price is ₹13,34,800 ex-showroom for the HTE (O) variant.
Regular Carens buyers currently get only one CNG option, the Premium (O), while Clavis buyers can choose between two variants.
Kia Carens CNG Engine, Power and Torque
Power comes from Kia’s Smartstream G1.5 engine, which is a 1.5-litre petrol engine adapted to work with CNG.
It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox across all three variants.
When running on CNG, the engine produces 96 PS of power and 123 Nm of torque.
For reference, 96 PS is roughly equal to 95 bhp. Torque, measured in Nm, tells you how much pulling force the engine produces, which becomes especially useful when the car is carrying several passengers.
Kia has also used CNG-specific engine calibration. In simple terms, the engine software has been tuned specifically to work properly when running on CNG.
