iPad mini A20 Pro Price in India
The iPad mini starts at ₹82,900, inclusive of taxes, and is available through Apple India. Sales began on November 6, following the October 26 announcement.
Apple is offering ₹3,000 instant cashback with eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards. Its advertised monthly payment starts at ₹6,658 with cashback and No Cost EMI. Eligible purchases can use up to 12-month No Cost EMI under the offer running through November 11, 2026. Card eligibility and the selected tenure determine the payment option.
There are three storage options. With standard glass, Wi-Fi models cost ₹82,900 for 128GB, ₹94,900 for 256GB and ₹1,18,900 for 512GB. The corresponding Wi-Fi + Cellular models cost ₹1,00,900, ₹1,12,900 and ₹1,36,900. Nano-texture glass is available on the 256GB and 512GB versions for an additional ₹12,000.
For reading, streaming and everyday notes, the entry model is the most affordable way into the range. Extra storage makes more sense if you keep large games, downloaded films or creative projects on the tablet. Choose this before buying, based on what you expect to store locally.
8.5-Inch OLED Display and IP67 Design

The 21.59 cm (8.5-inch) OLED display is the main upgrade. OLED can switch individual pixels off, giving dark scenes deeper blacks. The Super Retina XDR panel supports up to 1,200 nits peak brightness and 600 nits full-screen brightness. A nano-texture glass option reduces reflections.
The new model is 5.4 mm thin and comes in Midnight and Starlight. Its IP67 rating covers laboratory testing at a maximum depth of one metre for up to 30 minutes. Water resistance can reduce with wear, and liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
Apple has reduced the borders around the screen by 24% compared with the previous mini. P3 wide colour and True Tone are supported, while minimum brightness drops to 1 nit for dim surroundings. The 1,200-nit peak applies to HDR content rather than the entire screen during normal use.
The Wi-Fi model weighs 255g and the cellular version weighs 263g. That light body should appeal to readers and travellers who find a full-size tablet awkward to carry. The small screen is convenient for quick notes, but people working with large spreadsheets or detailed layouts may still prefer more display space.
A20 Pro, iPadOS 27 and Siri AI
The A20 Pro chip replaces the A17 Pro used in the previous generation. It brings more processing power for apps, creative work and games in a small tablet. iPadOS 27 adds multitasking features, while Apple Intelligence and Siri AI support AI-assisted tasks.
Siri AI is available in beta on supported devices and languages. Availability differs by region and feature. Some cloud-based Apple Intelligence functions have daily usage limits, and Apple says expanded access to those functions will be offered for a fee in the future.
Storage also changes the chip configuration. The 128GB and 256GB models have a five-core CPU and 16-core Neural Engine. The 512GB version has a six-core CPU and Dual 16-core Neural Engine. All three use a seven-core GPU. Apple claims up to 60% faster CPU performance and up to 2.7 times faster graphics than the previous generation; actual gains depend on the app.
Siri AI adds conversational requests and help with onscreen content. In Notes, Image Wand can turn sketches into images. iPadOS also supports resizable app windows. Extended display mode is listed for iPadOS 27.2, so buyers should distinguish that update-dependent feature from the tablet’s existing display-output support.
Cameras, Video Calls and Audio
The 12MP Center Stage front camera now sits on the landscape edge, a practical position for video calls with the tablet held horizontally. The rear 12MP camera records 4K video at up to 60fps, and Adaptive True Tone flash helps with document scanning. Dual microphones handle voice capture. The new Acoustic Display system combines woofers coupled through the display with tweeters hidden near the enclosure.
Battery, Fast Charging and Connectivity
Apple rates battery life at up to 10 hours for Wi-Fi browsing or video, and up to nine hours for cellular browsing. Fast charging reaches up to 50% in around 30 minutes with a 35W-or-higher USB-C adapter. The included adapter is 20W, so the faster charging claim requires a different charger.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Cellular models add 5G and use eSIM rather than physical SIM cards. USB-C supports transfers up to 10Gbps and one external display up to 4K at 60Hz. For frequent travel, cellular access can be useful; for home and office use with reliable Wi-Fi, it adds a sizeable cost.
Apple Pencil Support and Related Tablets
The tablet supports Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C), both sold separately. For drawing and handwritten notes, the compatible Apple Pencil Pro on Amazon India is a relevant accessory. This link is for the stylus, not the new iPad mini.
For another compact OLED tablet, read about the OPPO Pad Mini Matte Display Edition. The iPad mini’s appeal is its combination of a small body, OLED screen and Apple Pencil support, with the ₹82,900 starting price placing it firmly in the premium segment.
