Vu launched Android 7.0 powered Smart LED 4K TVs in India. Vu Android 4K UHD is available in 43, 49 and 55 inch screen size option. Here is the review of Vu 43 inch Android 4K UHD TV, is it worth the price? find out.
The Vu Android 4K UHD Model No. 43SU128, Model No. 49SU131 and Model No. 55SU134 all these 3 Android powered Smart TV’s come packed with the same specifications, the only difference is the screen size. This review is of Model 43SU128 – with 43 inch screen.
43 inch Vu Android 4K UHD is using A+ Grade IPS Panel with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution. Inside the hood this TV is powered by quad core processor, running Android 7.0 Smart OS (official Android) and comes with 10 + 10 Watt Box speaker. There is 2.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage space.
There is built in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3x HDMI ports, 2x USB ports, RJ45 port, Chrome Cast support and access to Google Play store. This is a Smart TV you will find limited compatible apps that you can install from Google Play store, including quite a few games.
Build and finishing is very good, color reproduction and viewing angles are also pretty good. This Vu Android 4K UHD TV is not that slim when compared with the Xiaomi Mi TV 4. Also the UI is a lot different, it is app based meaning to watch YouTube, HotStar, Netflix for example you need to run their respective apps.
Inside the box you will get the TV, user manual, warranty card, two remotes, AV cable, 4x AAA batteries, wall mount kit and stands. You can either use stand or mount the TV on the wall using the wall kit.
There are two remotes, you can either use the traditional remote the one you usually get with most TV’s or you can use the smart Bluetooth remote that looks somewhat like the Mi remote. Unique thing about the Smart Remote is it comes with minimal buttons and also includes a dedicated voice button. The smart remote also comes with built in microphone.
This Vu Android 4K UHD TV supports Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, Google Eco System, Google Movies / TV, Google Games, Sony Liv, ALT Balaji, Facebook video etc. The best part is you can use Google Assistant, just press and hold the voice button on the smart remote for few seconds to activate voice search.
Vu Android 4K UHD comes with built in soundbar, DTS TruSurround sound and Dolby Digital support.
Performance
Overall performance was pretty impressive. The UI is not as smooth as seen on the Mi TV 4, however it is good enough better than most smart TV’s out there. Voice search works across apps and is the key attraction.
You can install games, but you need a gamepad for better experience. Sound quality is pretty good, and really loud.
Verdict
This is a good smart TV to consider, the 43 inch Vu Android smart 4K tv price is Rs. 36,999. The 49 inch TV is priced at Rs. 46,999 and the 55 inch Smart Vu Android 4K TV is priced at Rs. 55,999.
This TV is little pricey when compared to Mi TV 4, however compared to other smart 4K TV’s available in India, this one is way better.

This is really a good information. But you can consider Ridaex Nuke series TV in this range. I have been using this TV for the past 3 months and its just awesome. The features are similar to the TV mentioned here and the price is also less compared to this TV. I suggest Ridaex TV to those looking for a budget android smart TV.

Gogi ji,
Namaste…how about new VU model 49SU131, this is the first time i’m planning to buy big TV 49 inches.
Looking the config with Android OS it looks good but what is your opinion on it’s usage, service and warranty.
Does VU have enough service centers in India.

How is the sound quality as compared to mi tv?
Dear Gogi Sir,
According to your verdict IS this TV way better than all other 4K Smart TVs available in India including the ones from LG,Sony and Samsung ?
How is the sound quality as compared to mi tv?
Is led or dled or eled,49 inch support HDR10&HLG format?
Hi Friends,
Just to let you know that I wanted to buy a 40 inch TV in June 2015,that time all the tv’s were around 40 -50 k this TV my bro bought in 2014 So I was hesitating to buy same tv. but because only this tv was available in 24.5k with 40 inch full HD led, I bought from flipkart. and I am really proud my decision now. they really use very good panel and still after approx 3 years, it’s picture quality is amazing. I have a platinum HD pack from videocon, and watching HD channels on this is really eye soothing. Don’t worry about 16k difference. MI mobiles I have used, they make things with substandard quality material, I bought redmi 1s, redmi note and redmi note 4. and only redmi 1s survived, all other handsets have given me too much problems , redmi note had motherboard problem after 1.1 years and repair cost was 7000/- while new one available in 8500/- I didn’t repair. redmi note 4 was gone bad within warranty and also it fall from 1 feel to ground and whole screen cracked(gorilla glass quality). So I now bought Honor 7x. which doesn’t have gorilla glass, fall from 4 feet 2 times, nothing happened. So you decide. this was my experience.
Paid by Honor?
I was talking about VU and not honor.
Lol. Looks like paid comment. You should stick with the Twitter. Doesn’t matter which brand of phone you use, they have very lower shelf life. I have RN3. Working as good as new. Does that mean Xiaomi is the best brand? No. It means I am lucky.
Not every opinion is paid Bro, if you liked and used a good brand, doesn’t mean you are paid, if someone is issuing a provocative comment for every comment with paid, that mean they are surely paid to oppose every comment. other brands are also performing well , not just one. I am using letv le 1s the first phone from letv, with first sale , 2 years over, not even battery life hampered, used without screen-guard till date, not a minor scratch also. doesn’t mean I am paid by letv. that company is out of business from India. what benefit they will get by paying me.
@raj agree with you, you see when a individual has nothing left to counter they use the word paid, just to distract attention. Ignore these people they are good for nothing.
@PRADEEP B , correct observation, thanks

I noticed in your video review that this TV also appears to have DVB T1/T2 feature. DoorDarshan TV is rolling out this new technology in which one doesn’t need any Dish to receive TV Channels. This technology is at testing stage and 5 of their channels are being tested in cities like . These cities are: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Patna, Ranchi, Cuttack, Lucknow, Jallandhar, Raipur, Indore, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The number of channels (as per their site) will be 600 free to air channels in future.
Gogiji please confirm whether this TV has DVB T2 feature in built or not.
HDR supported? Any mention on box, manual or otherwise? I did not find any mention flipkart. If it does not support HDR it simply cannot compete with Mi TV4. Also a 16k price difference on the 55″ models is not going to help.

Gogiji, what to buy Vu 50 Pixelight HDR, Vu android 49inch……is Vu android without HDR , a dealbreaker…..how are black in vu vizaviz Mi Tv 4. i am happy with Vu 55 pixelight HDR..want to buy another , preferable 49 inch for bedroom
I have a led, how I can say it is hd or fhd? company claims it fhd ?
Why not 24 inch or 32
Because they are not the Margin generating TV size. 24inch gives hardly any profit to the companies.

what is its ?tutu score ?
??
only she? can tell.
Lg smart tv 43″ is also available at similar prices, very high price by a less known brand, mi tv are far better than this
Gogi sir’
How is the screen quality of 43″ vu 4k TV as compared to 55″ Mi TV. I mean color reproduction , viewing angles etc. I think for smaller size of hall this one is better. pl.reply.
Smaller screen looks good, you see it is also 4K resolution. When you watch an image in its original size and when you reduce the size of image it looks even more sharper same is the case here.
Thanks sir for prompt reply.
Which is better in VU & MI 55inch. What you will recommend.
Makes sense to go with Mi TV 4 for 40K and 55 inch screen.

Gogi, what about refresh rate ?
On TV’s 60Hhz standard.

Indian Brand
actually both
i.e.
