  1. redmi should think of first providing basic dedicated dual sim capabilities.
in indian context, dedicated dual sim is a must unless the rom is 128 gb

  5. I thought of buying honor v10. But since note 5 Pro is launched with similar capability spec’s, I’m in a two minded situation. My priorities are camera and multimedia. Please help. I can spend upto 30k

  6. Hi Gogi. How does the Redmi Note 5 pro take bokeh effect pics with front camera if it is not a dual lens…? What is the technology?

    1. dual camera does is not a mandate for bokeh photos, dslr do not have dual cameras, google pixel 2 does not have 2 cameras… dual camers are marketing gimic… and add very less value mostly… a better camera lens and sensor is more important than having multiple cameras…

  7. sir gogi will u come with camera comparision between RN5 PRO AND HONOR 9 LIT?…….. its very imp for me so plz clear if u can

    1. If A1 could not beat it in camera, how can 9 lite beat it? RN5 Pro is having best cameras under 20k.

  11. Hey gogi, do you need a tempered glass if your smartphone has gorilla glass. I read it at many places that it is unnecessary, some say use it anyway. So what is your take on this

    1. Gorilla glass is not shatter proof. Tempered glass is a must have. I spent 5.5k last week replacing my display as I got lazy to get tempered glass.

  12. Sir you have forgot to mention that despite Mi A1 having smaller capacity battery it has USB type C port and supports fast charging which more than makes up for it

    1. Even Note 5 Pro supports fast charging, not very fast but if you use QC 3.0 charger handset charges in around 2 hours 15 minutes.

  13. Gogi ji & friends, please advise, which site will be better for easy pick for Redmi Note 5 pro – Flipkart or mi.com during flash sale.. Guys please share your experience….

    1. Does not matter if there are two people then let one be on Flipkart and other on Mi and check. Make your mind to buy the handset color / RAM / ROM and then look for the buy button. You will not get time to make decision, product will go out of stock.

    2. Flipkart is way better than mi.com. On mi.com you can’t get past the queue. I got Redmi 5a on 1st sale via fk. When the sale began, after a minute it showed out of stock but I kept trying and ultimately I got one. So I think that sometimes it shows “out of stock” due to some technical glitch or something else.

  16. Gogi, a small suggestion.
Please use the same distance and position to take the shots/videos.
If possible, use a tripod for static shots and place the lens at the same distance/position.
This will make the light from various angles to fall on the camera lens.
    Thank you.

    1. Check the video review, I have mentioned the issue with Mi A1 with telephoto lens and why it is difficult to get the subject in frame the right way as on other handset.

      1. I have totally understood that one bro.
I am telling you in general, so that there won’t be any different. For example, the hydrant shot! The angles and the distance is different. I hope this will give you a clear understanding ?

        1. As mentioned the Mi A1 comes with Telephoto lens and it changes the distance + also changes the distance of object in the image if you check, I have mentioned that in the video review. The angle will be different cause the distance has chanced and I need to adjust the subject to fit as taken with Redmi Note 5 Pro.

      2. Sir ur hidrnt shot was good but clearly can seen the difference positions of phone this is why very different results

  18. Kya baat hai koi bhi reviewer pro ka camera a1 se achha nhi bata rha hai par aap kaise bol rhe hai……

    1. Bhai aap sahi bol rahe ho lekin aapko andaza bhi hai ki Gogiji ko photography and camera ki kitni knowledge hai? This video of Gogiji is just mind-blowing man. He has in depth knowledge of camera specially. He has mentioned the depth and detailing of the pics captured by both cameras, how can you deny the facts and believe many others bro?

    2. Once I bought a phone named Swipe Elite Sense at 6000 and ignored Gogiji’s advice to buy redmi 4A at the same price because I thought Swipe Elite Sense has extra gig of RAM and extra 16gigs of storage and extra fingerprint scanner with the same cpu and gpu as of redmi 4A. Guess what I regretted alot after buying it. That’s the power of Gogiji’s reviews and his advice. Don’t believe others bro, only believe Gogiji’s advice/review.

    3. What is the credibility of those reviewers? Even I can write a review with my half knowledge based on what my naked eyes interpret.

  19. Mi A1 has dedicated DAC for much better sound output..and it will also get upcoming P which note 5 pro won’t get. Camera quality is preety much same with miA1 giving 2X zoom.
Note 5 pro has better performance thanks to SD636, bigger screen and bigger battery.

  20. Gogi Sir, offtopic question but pl.reply if u can. I am getting LG G6 @ 26.5k after exchange on flipcart. I know u have not reviewed but pl.tell me is it a good deal? or Oneplus 5T is better one.
Friends pl.suggest those who are having G6.
    Thanks.
