Indian customers who pre-booked the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 can either go for a full refund or they can get the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the S7 Edge along with some freebies. You might be aware that Samsung has stopped production of Galaxy Note 7.

Note 7 was a nightmare for the company, the initial lot had major issues – heating, burning and even exploding. There was a recall and incidentally the replacement units also had the same problem. Finally Samsung took the decision to stop the Note 7 production. The units sold are being recalled. Customers are being offered refund / other options.

Samsung did not sell any Galaxy Note 7 units in India, because of the issues the shipment was delayed. There were however customer who pre-book the Note 7 and they had to wait, still waiting. Since Note 7 has been discontinued, Samsung is offering Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 edge along with free Level U Stereo Wireless + Gear VR, i.e. if the customer is interested in the S7 / S7 edge handset. Full refund option is also available.

Indian customers who pre-booked the Note 7 will need to get in touch with the seller / portal from where they booked the unit.
