There you go another handset from Micromax, this time it is the Micromax A25 or Micromax Smarty that will be available for sale, probably tomorrow and you might see it listed on Saholic.com. This is a low end phone with 2.8 inch screen, 256MB RAM and Android 2.3 sailing on a 1GHz processor.

The Micromax A25 specs looks good especially with the 1GHz computing power. The screen size of 2.8 inches, missing GPS and no 3G support will surely make this phone more affordable, possibly even cheaper than the Ninja 3.

Instead of 3G users can use the GPRS or the EDGE networks. The handset weighs 102 grams with 13mm thickness. Even the rear camera is of low resolution (1.3MP). The capacitive touch screen is 2.8 inches supporting resolution of 320×240 pixels with 262K colours.

The Micromax A25 Smarty comes with 256MB RAM, 120MB of internal storage and of course microSD card slot. The design looks good with 2 dedicated touch sensitive buttons and a central dedicated physical button.

Over all the phone is targeted for budget conscious users and the price tag I believe will be well under Rs. 5K. It can also serve as an excellent backup phone. The battery is of 1280mAh capacity with 4 hours of talktime and 180 hours of standby time. This handset will hit the markets tomorrow – Saholic.com will probably list it tomorrow, price currently unknown.
