The Lava Xolo A800 is now listed on infibeam with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 and is currently available. This is a dual core handset with 512MB RAM and 4.5 inch qHD IPS display screen.

The Xolo A800 comes with dual core MT6577 coupled with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU as on the Micromax A110. There is a good price difference between these two handsets, but not much of the difference when it comes to specs expect for the qHD display and battery.

The Lava A800 shows off a 4.5 inch capacitive touchscreen with 960×540 pixels resolution (16M colours). This is a dual SIM handset running Android 4.0 (ICS) OS. There is front VGA camera with video calling supported. An 8MP camera on the rear is another delight that does work really well, outdoors. You can expect the same quality as seen on the Micromax A110.

This Xolo handset comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Handset is 10.5mm thick. Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm jack and micro USB port. A 1600 mAh battery powers the handset with a talktime of 5 hours on 2G and just 2.7 hours on 3G.

For the price of under Rs. 12,000 it does seems like a costly affair even with an 8GB SD card that is being offered for free. Some other online sites might come up with a lower price tag, hopefully.

As compared with the A110 the A800 does well when it comes to the display resolution apart from that most features are same, however the battery is 400 mAh less than what Micromax A110 is offering, and not to forget the A110 is around 2k cheaper than the Xolo A800 model. The Xolo A700 is a better, cheaper option. The difference between A700 and A800, well it’s the 5MP camera v/s 8MP camera. Not worth spending 2K extra for the 8MP camera.
