Google has just announced its latest phone, the Pixel 7a, at its I/O 2023 developer event. The Pixel 7a is reasonably priced and offers excellent upgrades, making it a fantastic alternative to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

One of the best features of the Pixel 7a is its 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, surrounded by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 screen, offering excellent durability. The fingerprint scanner is also integrated into the display for added security.

The device’s processor is Google’s latest Tensor G2 SoC, which delivers exceptional speed of 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, making it incredibly fast and efficient. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, and global positioning systems and has a USB-C (3.2 Gen 2) port at the bottom.

Google has significantly improved the camera on the Pixel 7a, enabling it to feature a 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The phone’s Tensor G2 SoC now includes faster Night Sight and Long Exposure modes. The 13-megapixel selfie camera is also significantly more advanced than its predecessor.

The phone comes with a 4,385mAh battery and a sleek, modern design that’s similar to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. It supports wireless charging using the Qi charging standard and runs on Android 13 for a seamless Pixel software experience.

In India, the Pixel 7a costs Rs. 43,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, but buyers can get an instant discount of Rs. 4,000 using HDFC Bank cards, bringing the price down to Rs. 39,999. With such fantastic features and an affordable price, the Pixel 7a is an attractive option for anyone in the market for a new smartphone.
