The Oppo Find 7 that made headlines with an unbelievable 50 Megapixel camera has been launched in China along with a lighter version of Find 7, the Oppo Find 7a. The Find 7a is priced at CNY 2,998 that comes to approx Rs. 30K and the Find 7 is priced at CNY 3,498 i.e. approx Rs. 35K.

The Oppo Find 7 that was leaked a few weeks back does come with a 50MP rear camera. But that’s not it the handset sports a 5.5 inch screen with QHD screen. Now this is not the 960 x 540p screen, do note that there is a different between qHD (960 x 540 pixels) and QHD (2560 x 1440) pixels. The Find 7 screen supports QHD i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Find 7 runs on Color OS 1.2 based on customized Android 4.3. It is powered by 2.5GHz MSM8974AC Quad core Snapdragon processor. RAM is 3GB and there is 32GB on board storage space. Though the Find 7 comes with a 13MP camera placed on the rear using the Sony EXMOR sensor (IMX 214) it can shoot still photos with super zoom feature in 50MP resolution. The rear camera can also record 4K videos and 720p slow motion videos at 120fps. The front camera is of 5MP resolution.

Other features are 4G, 3G, GPS, OTG, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A 3000 mAh battery powers up the handset. Oppo claims that the battery can be charged up to 75% in just about 30 minutes using the rapid charge technology.

Oppo Find 7 quad core with 50MP camera

The Oppo Find 7a is a lighter version of Find 7 targeted at Indian users. 7a will come with lighter specification as compared with the Find 7. The 7a comes powered by 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor running Color OS 1.2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. There is micro SD card support.

The screen is 5.5 inches with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080p). There is 13MP rear camera with LED flash and probably a front camera too. Imp features are 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. Battery is 2800 mAh capacity.

No word as to when the Find 7 and the Find 7a will be made available in India.
