Now use WhatsApp from your web browser officially

By Gogi Rana on January 22, 2015 30 Comments

WhatsApp for Web Browser is now official. Users can use the popular WhatsApp application from their web browser too. You will still need Whatsapp installed and connected to the net on your mobile phone

Open the Google Chrome browser (this works only from chrome browser, if you try from other browser you will get a link to download the chrome browser) and punch in the url https://web.whatsapp.com. For security reason you will not be able to use the app immediately,  there will be a QR code on the page. You will need to scan the same using your mobile phone.

In general there is no login option, you need to scan the code and the web Whatsapp is connected with your phone. So technically you will still need Whatsapp on your phone and running, web is just another input / output method – not a standalone way of using WhatsApp.

Users also need to use the latest Whatsapp version installed on their phone. Apple users will not be able to use Whatsapp from web because of platform limitations.

Hello Browser! now Whatsapp using the Chrome browser, but will you use it?

      Got to Options > Setttings > Help > About > Version 2.11.498 and above….

if it update to that version.

      Then, restart your phone.

Then check in Options you will get an option “WhatsApp Web” which has inbuild QR Code Reader.

Use the QR which is present over Chrome.

      Here you go…everything works fine.

But,Internet on your phone must be working fine even if you have it on web browser.

      *(Only Google Chrome)
