Videocon A30 is now listed on flipkart with a coming soon status. The A30 from Videocon will come powered by a dual core processor by Qualcomm scorpion. The price is not known.

There are quite a few dual core handsets available in the Indian markets and the list is growing. Zopo mobiles are also gearing up to launch their version of dual core in India. Videocon has also joined the dual core mobile bandwagon by launching the A30 model. The Micromax A110 and the Micromax A90s comes powered by Mediatek dual core processors whereas the Videocon A30 will run on the Scorpion dual core processor.

Videocon A30 key features and specification

  • This is a dual SIM phone with dual standby mode.
  • The display screen is 4 inches (capacitive touch) with a resolution of 800×480 pixels.
  • Inside the hood – 1GHz Qualcomm scorpion dual core processor. Memory details are not known but could be with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. GPU details are also not known.
  • Runs on Android ICS – Android 4.0 OS.
  • 5MP rear auto focus camera (with video recording, probably 720p) and a 0.3 MP front camera for video calling/chat.
  • Other features: 3G, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, 3.5 mm jack, FM player and GPS.
  • The Videocon A30 comes with 1500 mAh battery with a usage time of about over a day.

It would be interesting to compare the hardware performance with Mediatek processors. The price is not yet disclosed, but would make it more competitive if it was priced at around Rs. 10,000.
