Good news for iPad lovers, the new iPad will now reach the Indian stores by 27th April 2012 and the starting price is Rs. 30,499 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi version. After the iPad 2, instead of naming the new product as iPad 3, Apple Inc preferred to call it the New iPad.

The Wi-Fi version with 16 GB internal memory comes for Rs. 30,499, the Wi-Fi 32 GB version comes for Rs. 36,499 and the new iPad 64 GB will cost you Rs. 42,499. The Wi-Fi + 4G version will come for Rs. 38,900 for 16 GB, Rs. 44,900 for 32 GB and Rs. 50,900 for 64 GB. You may be aware that Airtel has launched the 4G services in Kolkata and soon some more cities will join the elite 4G club.

The bad news is that Indian users will not be able to use the 4G services for now. The new iPad supports Verizon and AT&T, Bell, Telus and Rogers networks (US/ Canada) only. The iPad 4G supports 700 – 2100 MHz (LTE) but in India the Airtel 4G runs on 2300 MHz band and hence not possible to use the 4G network on the new iPad. However you can still use the 3G networks (backward compatible).
