Finally the newest version of iPad has been announced by Apple Inc. This revolutionary iPad product supports 4G and comes powered by a Dual core A5X Apple processor with quad core graphics subsystem. The Retina display screen is 9.7 inches supporting amazing resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels.

So far we were relying on rumors but now the exact new iPad 3 specifications are out. A powerful processor especially customized for the iPad and an impressive Retina Display is just the beginning. The new iPad loaded with iOS 5.1 comes with iSlight camera with a 5 MP resolution with HD video recording (HD 1080p) at 30 fps. And another front facing VGA camera that works with FaceTime with video recording capabilities @ 30 fps.

The new iPad weighs just 652 grams (a little more [+10 grams] if you are going in for the 4G version) with a thickness of 9.39 mm. Other features that come included are Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n). There are two versions for 4G (Wi-Fi + 4G for AT&T) and (Wi-Fi + 4G for Verizon).

The new iPad is available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions and comes with an excellent battery life for up to 10 hours of continuous usage. Interestingly the price band of the new iPad is similar to its predecessors – 16 GB for $499, 32 GB for $599 and $699 for the 64 GB version. Users will have to pay an additional amount of $130 for the 4G models.

As you can see the prices are in Dollars which means that these gadgets will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Puerto Rico and Switzerland from 16th March and some more countries (excluding India) will be added to the list by the end of March.

Did we miss out India well we had to as it will be sometime before the iPad 3 is made available in India, no officially word from Apple though! But with the entry of iPad we may soon see prices of iPad 2 dropping.
