Motorola is gearing up to bring the Moto Z into the Indian markets; they have already started teasing about it on Twitter. Moto Z and most likely the Moto Mods will also be launched. The event is scheduled on 4th October 2016.

Moto Z is 2.2 GHz snapdragon 820 powered handset, am sure many of you already know about this chipset and it’s already been used on many handsets, the Lenovo Z2 Plus was recently launched and is for now the cheapest 820 powered smartphone.

The Moto Z sports a 5.5 inch screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution (Quad HD). It is running marshmallow with 4GB RAM and optional 32/64GB ROM. Micro SD support is available via the hybrid slot. On the back there is a 13MP camera with dual tone LED flash and front camera is a 5MP shooter.

Other features are 4G, 3G, 2G, dual band WiFi, NFC, 4x microphones, front speakers, Bluetooth and USB Type C port. The 3.5mm audio jack is missing, instead the Type C port can be used for connecting headphones.

The Z gets power from a 2600 mAh battery. This is a modular handset that supports  Moto Mods – power pack, shells, projector, JBL etc, one can easily connect these to the handset and inherit the Mod features.

Moto Z will come for a price it definitely will fall into the premium category, stay tuned.
