A low cost dual SIM handset called the Jivi 2010 has been launched in India for a price tag of Rs. 1,699. This is basic phone with a 2.4 inch screen specially made for women.

The key highlight is the special SOS emergency button that when long pressed will automatically dial or send SMS to the predefined numbers in case of an emergency situation. Up to 5 contact numbers can be assigned to work with the SOS button. When the button is pressed (long press) the handset will start dialing the numbers in the list one by one, in case the phone is busy an SMS is sent and another number in the list is dialed.

The Jivi 2010 supports dual SIM and sports a 2.4 inch screen with 320×240 pixels resolution. This is a very basic phone with alphanumeric keypad. The key features are GPRS, VGA camera and Bluetooth. There is a micro USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack. FM radio receiver comes built in with recording option. Micro SD card is also supported.

The Jivi 2010 is available in black, white and red colors for a price of Rs. 1,699.
