Gionee has launched the dual SIM 4G supported Elife S7 that comes powered by MediaTek 64 bit octa core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. This handset comes with a super AMOLED screen with full HD resolution and is just 5.5mm thick.
The Gionee Elife S7 got inspired by ‘U’ shape design of railway tracks, it has got a metal body (aviation level aluminum magnesium alloy), it is slim but pretty tough. The S7 houses the MediaTek 64-bit MT6752 octa core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. This is the next handset in the Gionee SLIM series with a thickness of 5.5mm.
The super AMOLED touch screen is 5.2 inches protected with corning gorilla glass 3 protection and sporting a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Elife S7 is running Amigo OS 3.0 which is based on Android Lollipop 5. There is 2GB RAM and 16GB of built in storage. There is no mention of microSD in the press release so I guess that is missing.
On the camera part the Gionee Elife S7 comes packed with a 13MP auto focus camera on the rear with flash and an 8MP camera on the front. The camera comes with its own image processing technology that can capture 6 images in a seconds and merge them by adjusting the image noise / brightness to deliver the best output.
Key features are 4G TDD LTE B38/39/40 FDD LTE B3/7/8/20, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The battery of 2700 mAh with 595 density is the highest among ultra slim smartphones. There is extreme battery mode which will auto enable when battery is at 10% disabling all other features except voice calls and SMS’s there by increasing the battery backup by another 33 hours.
Gionee proudly calls the Elife S7 as the ultra slimmest dual SIM handset with 4G support, it’s coming soon, the price however has not yet been disclosed.
Gionee please start making some real phones like E7 instead of relying only on the slimness………in real life usability slimness doesn’t have any real effect apart from the stylish looks….
Exactly. More than an year since E7 released and they still haven’t released E7’s true successor.
I’ll buy it any day over these gimmicky slim phones.
GiONEE’s perfect phone is E7. It has got everything well balanced specs, especially Qualcomm SoC, the both front and back cameras, 3gigs RAM, perfect size for a phablet and overall size and looks. After that They made some thinner phones. For this one, price should be below 20k, maximum 23k.
Nice specs, but if its priced >15K then not worth. Also would be better if they provide microSD card support.
Never ever going to buy any smartphone that utilizes meditek’s processor the reason being, these guys are slow as heck in releasing out source code for any chipset of theirs & also even snapdragon’s dual core performs exceptionally well in comparison to mediatek’s octacore soC’s when put to test have tested various devices having snapdragon & mediatek chipsets & the conclusion that i drew out is that snapdragon beats mediatek f4g***s hands down convincingly no matter what. There’s a reason why all the leading oem’s & high end smartphones utilizes qualcomm’s soC.
Hai jatin,
Use soft words when posting . I think Which world you are in ? maybe you live in 2000.
recently released
MTK Chipsets 6752 ( Octa Core ) beats SD 615.
MTK Chipset 6732 beats SD 410.
MTK Chipset 6595 beats SD 805/ SD 801.
Make sure,
Xolo One which runs on MTK 6382 SoC got Lolipop Update ( which cost Rs.7K Only). Google Android One is getting Lolipop Update.
But my Sony C3 not getting lolipop update(Which I bought for Rs.23K). do you think, this sony mistake or Snapdragon Mistake.
Leave my Sony C3, Also I am having HTC E8 ( Which I bought for Rs.34K) Which runs on SD 801. Till now i am not getting Lolipop Update.
So, analyse before you paste anything.
All high end OEM’s are started using MTK Chipsets ( HTC coming up with MTK 6752 octacore chipset alternate to HTC M9. sony started using MTK Chipsets)
Dude the thing is qualcomm snapdragon releases source codes for their chipsets much earlier than mediatek & its a known fact all over the world,do some fiddling around xda forums & you’ll got to know about it.I only talk facts not living in my fancy of imagination and last but not the least its upto a specific oem whether to release an ota for their device running on snapdragon/mediatek soC its clearly upto them not at all a fault of soC here but one thing that i’d like to add here is source code for chipsets are released much earlier by snapdragon and by saying this i mean it.also i’m a recognized developer at xda so i know how this all goes i’ve had the most no. of queries regarding mediatek having released the source code for their particular chipset while on the other hand snapdragon outperforms mediatek at any given point of time, period. If you still don’t get it i suggest you to head over at xda for a while & you’ll got to know what’s this all about. There are a numerous cases under which mediatek refused to release the source code for even more than a year just because this soC maker is nothing short but of a collective bunch of money hungry douchebags !
Here’s an example for reference there are loads of them out there, do dome research for yourself & you’ll got to know all about it.

Well said rajesh .
Well said Rajesh??
R u kidding me, I am confused what is Rajesh talking about??
There is no relation for SOC and software update.
Rahesh tells BAKVAS and Vsk Van Vah
GiONEE E7 running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. Where’s Source Code for E7 ? It’s Gionee that should release source code, I think. As per some reports they may release.
Chill brother. There are lots of noobs here thats why plenty of comlpanies who sell cheap hardware are highly successful.
MTK Users would disapprove but it stays a hard fact for them that Qualcomm chipsets are better than MTK. I have used both, I have lot of friends around me who are using high end phones and I have access to those. The best MTK is still really behind the best QComm by a wide margin. They need to up their game.
Everything is fine except the laggy amigo UI. For this specs maximum price should be under 20k (15k or less ). But Lenevo vibe shot is far better than this one with better camera, better storage and a snapdragon processor for 20k.
Super unique
Oh my god, why gionee has left with only 16 gb memory modules…! No memory expansion, what are we gonna do with that mere 11 gb of available memory…!
Dont forget its a gionee. Their phones have the strangest of partitions. It will be like 4gb for apps and 7 gb for media data.
Gogi, if screen is 5.2″ full HD then, density cannot be 595. I think screen is quad HD.
Gionee always Doe’s over priced smartphone.
elife s7 price revealed 400€ ( 30-32000 INR). Selling Price likely 29999/-.
At 30k Elife S7 is a big Zero. Atleast Maintain Price of retailing 19999/- then Thinkable.
Gionee Want To learn how to fix price from lenovo. Lenovo Maintaining price point. In China Same MT6752 SoC Devices with 3 gb ram 5.5 inch fhd display bigger battery available For 12-13k. Jiayu S3 Also MT6752 SoC device. Thickness Doesn’t matters.
Price Probably will be around 30K INR
30k for a chineese phone ?? spending more than 20k for this not worth.
Yup that too based on a mediatek soc
