At MWC 2018 Asus announced series of smartphones in the Zenfone 5 series namely the Asus Zenfone 5, Asus Zenfone 5Z, Asus Zenfone 5 Lite and the Asus Zenfone 5 Max M1. Though the full specifications and details are out, however the price details have not yet been revealed.
HMD Global at MWC 2018 also announced the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 Sirocco, both these smartphones are powered by Android One and come with dual camera setup. Price starts from $490 – approx Rs. 31K.
At MWC 2018 Nokia announced couple of handsets powered by Android One. They unveiled the Nokia 1 Android Oreo which is a Go Edition and a low end / low powered smartphone with a budget price tag of $85 that comes to approx Rs. 5,500.
At MWC 2018 Samsung unpacked their new Galaxy S series handset the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+. Unique thing about the S9 is the advanced rear camera with f/1.5 ~ f/2.4 variable aperture for night shots / day shots.
Nokia announced the Nokia 6 2018 that is actually an Android One Smartphone. So the hardware part will be from Nokia and the software part will be handled by Google, as seen on other Android One Smartphones.
At the MWC 2018 event, Nokia unveiled the Nokia 8110 feature phone. What makes this feature phone different is it comes with 2.4 inch curved screen and using the slide to answer technique as seen on the very, very old Nokia phones (if you may recall).
Ulefone will launch their first smartphone, in fact the world’s first smartphone called the Ulefone T2 Pro powered by Helio P70 processor and another unique thing is the display aspect ratio – 19:9. The handset will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC2018).
At the MWC Shanghai 2017 event last week Qualcomm announced the Readboy W8 4G kids smartwatch and 360 Kids Watch 6S in China. Now both these wearable devices are using the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform.
At MWC Shanghai 2017, Qualcomm unveiled the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SOC that makes use of 14nm FinFET process. The SD 450 Mobile Platform will be more powerful, will offer better battery life and more compared with its predecessor the Snapdragon 435.
Couple of days back Huawei announced two of its flagship models, the Hauwei P10 and the Huawei P10 Plus at MWC 2017. These smartphones are powered by Kirin 960 octa core processor and are running Nougat right out of the box.
Meizu today at MWC 2017 unveiled the Meizu mCharge technology. As per the company their mCharge technology provides the fastest charging solution as of now – it can charge a 3000 mAh smartphone in just about 20 minutes.
Gionee as expected launched the Gionee A1 and the Gionee A1 Plus at MWC 2017. Both these handsets are made for selfie users in mind and they are running latest Android Nougat out of the box.
