  1. This is great if you don’t mind paying for ebook rather than paper back. You can circulate paper back along your friends but ebook is locked to the device.
It is not comfortable to read PDFs. Conversion to mobi format does not work well.
Good for kids as mobile and tablets have lot many distractions.
As a technology option the above review is upto the mark.

      1. Do you think you are the only master of kindles here!!
Just understand what he means to say!!

  2. I think Kindle devices are not popular in our country because people read books on Kindle app on smartphone. Carrying another device would be difficult.
Maybe there should be some affordable 10″ tablets that would make reading more popular? If these tablets come with HD screen, then even browsing and videos will be fun 🙂
Unfortunately, good 10″ tablets are quite expensive…

    1. I recently purchased a Chuwi Hi10 Pro from Amazon for Rs 16000. It is very good for reading e-books, watching movies & gaming.

      1. Chuwi Hi10 Pro is an amazing buy. But Amazon seller has listed for 21k!! Banggood has it listed for 12k but it shows out of stock. Also with customs charges, it will come to 17k. So 16k was a great buy.

    2. We Indians are more into media consumption than into reading books

And carrying a tablet is not easy

Therefore first 5.5 mobiles and now 18:9 screen ratio mobiles are highly popular with Indian customers.

Tablets are mostly, not always, for the kids.
Kindle – have seen very few users
