Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 now gets stable MIUI 8.1.1.0 update

A beta update was rolled out few days back and now the company has rolled out stable MIUI 8.1.1.0 MHOMIDI OTA update (Marshmallow based) for Redmi Note 3. This is an OTA (Over the Air) update, it is being rolled out in phased manner.

If you are using Redmi Note 3 your might have got the notification or you can try manually checking the same from system -> About -> updates. If there is an update available you will see it with options to download and install. In case the update has not reached you, you can try installing it manually – details, how to and download links here.

If you are not comfortable with manual updates then better wait for few days you will get the OTA update. The Marshmallow MIUI 8.1.1.0 update size is around 1.3GB. Make sure to take backup and keep battery level over 75%.
