Get ready for another premium handset from Xiaomi, it will be called the Xiaomi Mi 6 (successor to Mi 5) and it will be unveiled in China (Beijing) on 19th April 2017. The company has already confirmed the event date on their official website.

So what can we expect on the Xiaomi Mi 6

Well as far as the processor is concerned it will be a better one the latest Snapdragon 835 i.e. a 64 bit octa core coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It will be a dual SIM handset with 4G VoLTE support. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will sail on MIUI based on Nougat (makes sense).

Screen could probably be between 5 to  5.5 inch with 1080p resolution. RAM and ROM will be at par compared with best selling premium smartphones – we can expect 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. There will be finger print sensor too.

As for the camera on the Mi 6 is concerned, the company as per rumors will be using 12MP single camera and front camera will be a 8MP shooter. We really hope that the Mi 6 includes dual cameras on the back. Other common features expected – WiFi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and USB Type C. Battery mAh, a minimum 3000 mAh expected.

Mi 6 launch event in China on 19th April

When will Mi 6 launch in India?

Usually after a month or two the handset should be made available in India, but Mi 6 may come to India pretty soon.
