Xiaomi Mi 5X goes official in China with dual cameras priced at RMB 1499

Xiaomi today announced a new handset the Mi 5X in China. The Xiaomi Mi 5X is SD 625 octa core powered and comes with dual cameras of 12MP each packed on the back. 5X price in China is RMB 1499 that comes to approx Rs. 14K.

At an event in China Xiaomi announced the Mi 5X. This is dual SIM handset using hybrid slot and features a 5.5 inch screen with 2.5D curved glass and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Mi 5X is powered by qualcomm snapdragon 625 octa core processor clocked at 2GHz with Adreno 506 GPU.

Now this handset is running MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1 and it will get MIUI 9 soon. There is 4GB onboard RAM, 64GB storage and 128GB external micro SD card support. Other unique features are Finger Print sensor and Infrared sensor.

Coming to the camera its using dual camera setup. On the back there is 12MP wide angle (f/2.2) and 12MP Telephoto Lens (f/2.6) with dual tone LED flash support. Front camera is of 5MP resolution. Handset supports 4G with VoLTE, Dual Band WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.

Xiaomi Mi 5X is using USB Type C port and the non-removable battery is of 3080 mAh capacity. 5X will hit the Store in China in August with a price tag of RMB 1499 (approx Rs. 14K).

Would be interesting to see if Xiaomi will be getting the Mi 5X in India cause for that price or around it is going to rock.
