Winknet Wonder 7inch and Ultimate 9.7 inch ICS tablet launched

A new company called Winknet, has now launched the Winknet Wonder and Winknet Ultimate ICS based tablets. The Wonder is with 7 inch screen for a price of Rs. 7,995 and the Ultimate comes with 9.7 inch with a price tag of Rs. 14,995.

Winknet Wonder TWY100
This is a 7 inch tablet with 800×480 pixels resolution powered by AllWinner A10 CPU which Winknet claims can be clocked at up to 1.5 GHz. Allwinner A10 is not new, and we have seem many tabs powered by this chipset, and now manufactures are shifting towards Allwinner A13 chipset. Also all of the Allwinner A10 based tabs are clocked at 1.0 GHz and not 1.5GHz. This tab also houses the Mali 400 GPU.

Memory is 512MB (RAM), plus there is 8GB internal storage, HDMI port, external 3G dongle supported and Wi-Fi. This tab can play HD videos comfortably without lags.

Winknet Wonder TWY100 Key features, Specifications and price

  • Allwinner A10 1.5GHz cortex A8 + Mali 400 GPU.
  • 7 inch LCD with resolution 800×480 pixels.
  • ICS (Android 4.0).
  • 8GB internal storage and 512MB DDR3 RAM.
  • Wi-Fi, HDMI, external 3G support, G-Sensor, USB, 2D/3D support and microSD slot.
  • 1 Free movie, 20 audio songs and 10 video songs pre-loaded.
  • 5 point multi touch.
  • 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with usage time of about 5 to 6 hours.
  • Price Rs. 7,995.

Tablets with same hardware specs are available for a much lower cost at around Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 7,000. I wonder why the Winknet Wonder cost is so high?

Winknet Ultimate TWY300
The Ultimate is another model with a 9.7 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with resolution 1024×768 pixels. It has 2 cameras, a front VGA and a rear 2MP. Internal storage is 16GB with 1GB RAM and running on Android 4.0 (ICS) OS.

Again the Ultimate seems too pricy; there is the Micromax Funbook Pro that easily competes with this tab.  The Winknet Ultimate does have some good unique features (Bluetooth, 16GB internal memory) but the price is still too high. Check out the official Winknet website.

Wink ultimate is advanced compared to micromax fun book pro and m tab rio.
Processor of winki is 1.5 Gig rest are 1.2, 16 GM storage compared to 8 GB. Hard disk upto 1 TB can be handled by winki others don't, battery is more powerful compared to micromax. It seems the source of rio and winki are same China make, pricing is proportionately higher than rio due to the above points rest are same with rio & hence the Rs 3000/- extra.

It seems like that winknet ultimate has copied all the specifications of mtab rio except the Bluetooth,16 gb RAM. It is available online but still there is no sign of mtab rio, very disappointing :(

Looking at the trend don't be surprised if people ignore Android in future, because they'll be fed up with the name Android. These machines are not that durable when compared to Samsung or HTC and after sales service will be worst (my guess, I've experienced this with Micromax). So when this happens Winknet, Micromax, iBall and Karbonn (Including Android) will be flagged.

Do you know what you are talking? people will ignore android in future? have you lost all your senses? actually android is the future of smart phones and tablets. Android is not related or responsible for bad after sales service of micromax or any other company, android is just the operating system and karbonn, Winknet, Micromax, iBall etc companies makes h/w and use android as their os (I hope you are understanding what I am saying) so no way android can be blamed and you are talking about samsung and htc brand, do you know which os they use? its android, take any example of successful mobiles of samsung or htc – galaxy s3, s2, htc x, explorer all are Android based.

I agree with you sbabu as android is growing like rapid fire one day will come(not far predict-1or 2 years) people will be fed-up of that crazy wizard and throw off and windows is the OS of the future, no guesses it is the best.
