Webs-Den Tab Octavia is a 7 inch tablet powered by MediaTek octa core processor. It comes with dual SIM slots with 4G/3G and phone functionality. This Tablet runs Android 4.4.4 Kitkat+ and is available for approx Rs. 22,500.

Box Pack
Inside the box : Webs-Den Tablet, 6000 mAh battery, travel charger, data cable, standard quality earphone and user guide.

Design and Display
The tablet looks pretty slim, in fact it is almost like a Phablet – had it not been for the 7 inch screen size. It is very comfortable to hold. Weight is about 274 grams with battery and dimensions are 105.42 x 185mm x 8.71mm.

It is a premium tablet made by Webs-Den EGI USA. Rear is off-white colour with matte finishing and sides are with metallic finish. Body is made of plastic. This is a dual SIM tablet with overlapping SIM slots, you need a micro SIM and a normal SIM. Both SIM slots support 3G.

Power button is on the right, micro UBS port at the bottom, volume rocker are on the left side and 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the top. This is the first tablet that I have seen that comes with a removable battery. Though there are dual speaker vents on the rear, there is only one speaker.

The Octavia sports a 7 inch LTPS screen with (WUXGA) 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. When you power on the tablet for the first time you can immediately feel the screen quality, colour reproduction is very good. Touch is smooth, responsive and viewing angles are great. It comes with a factory fitted screen guard.

This tab is running Android 4.4.4 Kitkat+ out of the box.

Benchmark

App Result
Quadrant 13209
Antutu 27455
Vellamo Metal (889) Multi core (1374) Browser (2003)
Nenamark 2 50.3fps
Multi Touch 5 point

Gaming
I installed the Asphalt 8 and MC5 (Modern Combat 5). Both games got installed on the internal storage. Games are playable but you may experience very mild lags probably because of the screen size and resolution.

Camera and Entertainment
The rear camera is using Carl Zeiss lens and is of 13MP resolution. Front camera is 5MP. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos and there is LED flash for low light photography. Camera quality is pretty good, check the sample images at the end.

You can use this tablet as a phone – use in-call speaker, loudspeaker, earphone or Bluetooth device. In-call / speaker sound is loud and clear. No other issues found.
