Do you think they are as efficient as the traditional ones?

Nishad, this Nexus Wireless Charger takes approx 6 hours to charge the nexus 7 (power drawn is 6.1 Watts) whereas the wall charger draws 7.5 watts and changes in approx 3 hours. However the nexus 5 wall charger draws 6.6 watts so it will be faster on handset.

Okay, the restriction on the Nexus 7 may be slightly disappointing. But remember the advantages of remote-charging. Great for hotel rooms etc in which the power outlets are inconveniently located. Even at home, you can place the magnetic platform next to your bed. After reading or playing games for a while, you an place it on the platform for a partial charge whenever you want. At night, after reading or browsing the net till you’re sleepy, you need not get up to charge your Nexus. Just place the Nexus on the platform(the adopter is already connected to mains) switch on, and go to sleep. The device will charge overnight. In the middle of the night, you can get up and check something, like a cricket score, then replace the device on the platform and go back to sleep without getting off the bed. The charger is quite cheap compared to the advantages. It may drop further. So good show all round by Google.
