Another 1.3GHz quad core powered handset the Spice Stellar 509 has entered the Indian markets. Spice Mobiles has silently launched this handset that runs on Android 4.2 over a 5 inch screen and is priced at Rs. 9,499. The retail / online price will be lower at under Rs. 8,000.

The Stellar 509 is listed on the official website with the official price tag of Rs. 9,499. This is a dual SIM handset with dual standby mode. Both the SIMs support 3G. The handset weight without battery is 120 grams and thickness is 9.5mm.

Screen is 5 inches capacitive touch screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution. The 509 is powered by 1.3GHz quad core processor probably MediaTek with Mali 400 GPU. Android 4.2 jelly bean runs out of the box with 1GB RAM and 4GB storage. Micro SD card of up to 32GB is supported.

The 509 also comes with a 1.3MP camera on the front and 8MP on the rear that’s auto focus and with LED flash support. Key features are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with A-GPS support. The battery is of 2000 mAh capacity.

Spice Stellar 509 quad core smartphone

Spice Stellar 509 will hit the stores soon for a price tag of under Rs. 8,000. Box pack includes a free flip cover. It is too late for Spice as there are already three handsets making wave in the market – Moto E, Micromax Unite 2 and Lava Iris X1 for a cheaper price with better features.
