  1. The most impressive feature is being able to change the resolution in the software settings just like we can do in Windows which has never been available on a mobile platform before. By default, you have a 1080p display(by identifying groups of pixels together) meaning that the gpu has less work to do and you save battery life and gaming etc will be smoother and when you’re consuming high-res media content or reading a small font pdf in night mode, you can crank up to 4k resolution. I hope that feature really catches on among other Android manufacturers as well!

Orher innovations may also be on the software side. It will be interesting what options users are offered for the edges(especially now that the edges are on both sides) Notifications, subtitles, c buttons etc. And since the camera hardware has not been changed from the S7 Edge, the software may have some improvements and customuzations. Even the ugly physical home button has been replaced by software buttons. So TouchWiz has received a significant revamp

The other major thing this may lead to is that channels like youtube, as well as media pkayers like Mx will subsequently allow users to change the aspect ratio of a video in a certain range to suit their tastes and device geonetry(without cropping the videos) Currently the S8 Plus’s unconventional aspect ratio makes a bit of a problem.

  2. Superb Design and premium quality. Its a better than pixel XL. I personally watched launch event and I say it’s an excellent smartphone. 5.8″ is comfortable to hold. Display is excellent .

  3. No wonder no one complaining about small battery. Sab ko pata hai samsung ka battery kitna powerful hota hai ,??☠?

  4. Of course not. Most of people who buy these kind of mobiles are either techy or to just show off people.

I read somewhere that one guy bought Samsung flagship and it went dead after 2 years. Remember 40k Rs mobile went dead in just 2 years.

Instead of this I would buy a mid range mobile from companies which provide regular updates (or at least active in Xda community).

One thing I can say for sure after buying any premium thing.

“The things you own, end up owning you”.

It’s from fight club movie and its damn true.

    1. Its a machine bud , it happens with every brand or machine even we cant predict about humans

  5. People will look after buying this phone only when the price is not more than 35k, Anything beyond 35k, is costly. Remember, The phone is from samsung. Do not expect the price of this phone to be anywhere around 35k,

I am damn sure, with this kind of specs and build quality and brand samsung, the phone price will be around 55k for the 4 GB ram version and 62k for the 6GB ram version.

  6. hey Gogi just correct it… SNAPDRAGON 835 is not Quad core but its an Octacore Processor.. correct it in your article..

  7. guys think..do you really need these specifications….i mean my coolpad note really help me day to day.its too pricy and can’t hold ur palm.

  8. Samsung Kabhi bhi kuch Naya nahi kar sakta bas Sony aur apple ko copy past kar sakta h Jaise ye lock screen copy kar ke kaun sa tir Marna chahta h.. …lol Samsung user

  9. only issue is it’s too tall selecting quick toggles and viewing notifications will be difficult I think

  10. Certainly I would say Samsung wants to make more money from this s8 to recover s7 loss. Will be happy if this comes to India with SD 835 more storage with dual sim option and below 35k other wise a big no. ??

    1. Exynoss version jada powerfull or fast hai snpadragon 835 se……below 35k ??? wait for one plus’s (cheap chinese) new model

      1. Did I say SD 835 super fast ??? Did I say i want one plus one? Mind your own business ??..

Everyone have their opinion if you don’t agree then its your problem.

  11. Dimensions
    Galaxy S8 – 148.9mm * 68.1mm weight 155 gm
    Galaxy S8+ – 159.5 mm * 73.4 mm
    Weight 173 gm
Now compare your phones and see ..

  12. Inspire of all the flashy specs, this phone will come for at least 60k for S8 and 70k for 8+,in India. which gives a simple equation
    2X OnePlus3T = 1 S8..
For me it makes no sense. The S8 for all its hype is not more that 20% better than OnePlus3T, taking all parameters.

    1. Samsung charges 20k to 25k for brand value and after sale service. That makes sense because they need funds for r&d.

  13. Great phone..also showing the future specs of mid range phone after 2-3 yrs.& Budget, low range phone after 5-6 yrs.

  14. Only ౩000mAh battery!. Looks like Samsung has kept it small to prevent it from exploding.
It may have to be charged twice or thrice daily!
Looks like they have launched a Rolls Royce with a tiny fuel tank!

    1. may be they don’t want to take any chances after note 7 disaster. but fast charging is supported so not a big problem…can charge it twice a day.

    2. It might be a reason but also keep in mind that SD 835 is built on 10nm process which is more power efficient.

We can see the difference having SD 625 in RN4, G5 Plus etc which is built on 14nm process having mind blowing Battery backup.

  15. Good phone but placing the fingerprint scanner at left side of camera is a very bad idea .people will find difficult to use it, what u think gogiji ?

    1. Well not an issue for most, I am okay with finger print on the back / front. But there is new face / Iris recognition system that instantly unlocks the phone as soon as you look on the screen, if that works great, is fast and accurate I guess most users will not use finger print.

  16. size wise its too big i think.

    S8: 5.8″

    S8Plus : 6.2″

A 5.5″ gives me enough trouble in handling now 5.8″….omg!! even if I had the money I wouldnt have bought it.

    1. Even if it is 5.8 or 6.2 inch in screen size it is still smaller than your 5.5 inch screen mobile.

  17. Samsung Can’t do better then this.
Rise of Samsung. If comes under Rs.50K then it will be a Rockstar of the year for sure.

    1. That’s only for the chinese phones they want 10000 mah battery, 50 MP camera, SD835, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and 5k price.

    2. Dude, These new generation chips are much more power efficient than current 820 and exynos equivalent! They are manufactured on 10nm lithography. Consumes much less power.

  18. Now that’s I wanna call a perfect premium phone in android market…Let’s see how it can compete with IPhone 8 plus and Google pixel 2 …which are yet to be announced.
