Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt looks good specs wise and the price is also quite tempting. The J7 Nxt features a 5.5 inch screen with 720p resolution (HD) and what makes it even better is the Super AMOLED display.

Android Nougat runs out of the box with a good 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It’s a dual SIM handset.  Finger print sensor is missing but handset does support VoLTE, so you can use Reliance Jio SIM with this smartphone.

  1. Dear Gogi, is it true that the network strength and download speed in branded mobile like Samsung is better than Redmi, letv etc? Do they use better network components in branded mobile?

    1. Don’t think so network quality depends on your location and how close you are to the signal tower.

      1. And yes the network band at which your device is operating plays the major role in speed….

Mi devices support a good range of network bands… So you can never say that Mi devices are weaker in receiving network strength….

Mi devices have a tendency to shift to higher frequency band..

For example, 3 roads where 800 MHz is the narrowest, 1800 MHz is the mid. And 2300 MHz is broadest…. So, we suppose the 2300 MHz is the best band for phone to operate but as the most devices show the tendency to shift to higher band… 2300 MHz band faces network traffic too… i.e, why your device tries to shift to lower band when you call someone to face lesser traffic and better network range…

I love to operate my Mi on 1800 MHz because at that I get ample speed of about 1-2 MBps(8+Mbps) and better stability…. For that I just call my secondary phone and leave it aside….

Use NetVelocity app to check at which band your device is working and if you are getting lesser speed try call someone to get a better speed….

        1. Waste of network resources by your idea of calling own number and then leaving it aside.

          Kuch to sharm karo.

    2. @PRAKASH,

You are probably right brother. I have also noticed these issues with My Redmi phone. One of my friends’ lenove a mid range phone also has the same issue. But, the Samsung and Iphone don’t face these issues.

I understand that the signal availability to the nearby location. But, sometimes it is a case of handset also.

If you remember that we have used old nokia feature phones and they had great network coverage than other phone.

I hope Mr. Gogi also agree with some scenarios. 🙂

    3. It also depend on your device’s internal network chip. If you you have been reading news, there was news that Xiaomi is using cheap network chips for their mobiles in India. I have personally tested many Xiaomi devices personally from the same location and I am sure that their is something wrong with Xiomi wheras Samsung gives best network at same location, followed by Honor

    4. even i noticed just opposite wht u said, branded phones performs very bad on voice as well as on data, and xiaomi , huawei and moto are very well on same location.

    5. It’s true. Xiaomi network is not good. I have personally compared with Moto, Vivo and Nubia phones and Xiaomi has bad voice quality compared to them.

    1. Its better….
I m using J7 2016 and mobile has never slowed in last 1 year and battery is super….

  3. Gogi Sir, Which is best Galaxy J7 NXT or Galaxy on8? What is differents between both mobiles.

  4. Why to spend 11k+ for 2GB RAM phone. Samsung should grow up.
And they should have retained their tried and tested 3300mah provided on other Samsung J series models rather than downgrading to 3000mah.

  5. The specs look quite good for the price.. I hope there’s removable battery and separate SD Card Slot.. will you review it Gogi sir?

  6. since last 3 years Samsung is playing with 720p super AMOLED panels in 10-20k price bracket and still not moving to 1080p super AMOLED panel.

    1. Samsung Galaxy On8 available with 1080p AMOLED display with 3 GB RAM, 16 GB Internal Memory @ 12K on Flipkart..

      1. On 8 has poor camera. They just launched j max with good camera but no superamoled display. They are bringing phones with either good display and poor camera and less Ram. Or phones with good camera and low resolution superamoled display like this j7 nxt.
