Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 5 in India, this in fact is the Redmi 5 Plus that was launched in China. It’s the same handset, same specifications. Key highlight is the 5.99 inch 18:9 display with FHD+ resolution and 4000 mAh battery, is this worth the price? find out.

I had already done the review of Redmi 5 Plus, you can check that here. Since this is the same phone the results will be same, most of what you will see here is copy and paste from the Redmi 5 Plus review, as far as the images are concerned I have shot that again with the Redmi Note 5.

Redmi Note 5 is Snapdragon 625 octa core powered and packed with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. There will be two variants, one with 3GB /32GB RAM / ROM and the other with 4GB / 64GB RAM/ROM.

This is upgraded version of Redmi Note 4, also if you note the Note 5 is using the same hardware as on the Note 4. This you can say is a replacement of the Redmi Note 4. Performance is great as seen on the Note 4, plus like on the Note 4 the Redmi Note 5 also delivers 2 days of battery life.

  12. Actually this phone (3GB/32GB) is better value for money than pro. Average people don’t need advanced camera & portrait gimmick.

  13. I really dislike the form factor (with its increased length and decreased width) and on-screen navigation buttons.

    1. i agree with you….so do you have any phone list which have good width screen with as well as length?

  14. Only 8 response for this review! Seems like this is flop phone, no need for flash sales, i think it will available very easily on 22 nd

  16. No mazor diff. except the FHD+ screen, front cam flash, dedicated navigation buttons taken over by FHD+ screen covered by onscreen navigation buttons(I really don’t like them)!!!!
    And finally, downgraded battery!
    Was expecting dual cam!!

    1. 9 lite has smaller screen, more slimmer, and its design is stunning with glass back, and 4 cameras and camera quality is excellent. Battery life is excellent though it has 3000 mah only. Lags in asphalt 8 but no issues in any other games or performance. Dont buy rn5, go for 9 lite, or if you can extend your budget, then rn5 pro is the best option.

  20. How is the audio quality through a good earphones? Does it have Dirac sound technology as used in MI A1?

    1. This phone has nothing improvement in camera just like note 4, 9 lite has better camera.
