If you are using the Mi A1 here is some good news, it will soon get the Android 8 i.e. Oreo update. In fact the Android 8.0 Oreo update for beta testers have already been rolled out, and we can expect the final version to be out soon.

Mi A1 is Android One Smartphone and when it was launched the company Xiaomi and Google had already confirmed that this handset will get the Android Oreo update and will also be the first to get the Next version of Android i.e. Android P.

The Android Oreo update will bring in more features, more stability and likely will improve overall performance including battery life. The Android 8 beta for the Beta testers have been rolled out, the update size is around 1GB.

  1. My Mi A1 is still 7.1.2 , I checked for updates , but it says up to date . Anyone got any update ?

    1. It is only available for beta testers
You have to apply for beta testing
If you don’t apply You will get
It after the testing process complete

    2. this is a beta update…. not stable. beta updates are not released over the air. so no one will get update notifications for this release.

  2. that’s the advantage of having a phone with google in charge of providing fast software updates….while Xiaomi remains busy fixing bugs in miui.

      1. An advantage is that a user is having the option of getting his hands on Android oreo along with its features without waiting any further, in some case the waiting goes indefinitely.

      2. Beta version meanz Rom & feature are in tessting mode & may be having some bugs nd not fully stable.Once all feature get stable nd bug solved its ready for rolling out as “Stable Rom”
