What Is the OnePlus #MakeItSpecial Diwali 2026 Campaign?
#MakeItSpecial is OnePlus India’s annual festive campaign, and 2026 is its third edition.
This year’s theme focuses on bringing different generations together during Diwali. The idea is to connect Gen Z with parents and grandparents and encourage both sides to experience how the other generation enjoys the festival.

Smriti Mandhana Joins the OnePlus Diwali Film
The campaign film starts with an elderly couple sitting at home after their Diwali guests have left.
Their grandchildren, played by creators Vishnu Kaushal and Govind Kaushal, video call them from a lively Gen Z party filled with music, games and dance challenges.
The grandparents are interested but wonder whether they are too old to join this type of celebration.
That changes when Smriti Mandhana, Vice Captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, arrives with a smartphone in hand.
She records a Diwali dance challenge choreographed by Nicole Concessao using the OnePlus 15 and gets the grandparents involved too.
Music is played through a OnePlus Pad 4, the diyas come alive again, and even the rangoli gets a more modern touch.
By the end of the film, the traditional and modern versions of Diwali turn into one big celebration.
