It is the Nokia X a.k.a. Nokia Normandy the first Nokia phone powered by Android OS. Evleaks has leaked this info along with the specifications. If rumors are to be believed then Nokia might unveil this Android powered Nokia X at MWC 2014.

As per the leaked specifications the Nokia X will be a dual SIM handset available in 6 different colors. It will be powered by 1GHz dual core Snapdragon processor running a customized Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The TFT screen will be of 4 inches supporting resolution of 854×480 pixels.

The Nokia X also includes an 5 megapixel rear camera. There is 512MB RAM and on board storage of 4GB along with external SD card support (via Micro SD card slot). The battery is of a 1500 mAh capacity.

Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. A Vietnamese online store had also listed the Nokia X with the specifications. The X will feature Nokia’s own app store and probably will also give access to Google service that includes play store, YouTube, GMaps, GSearch  etc..

There is still no official word from Nokia, stay tuned.

  1. Nokia on its way i think we have good benefits of using this phone. because every android phone have one major problem . Its battery problem and Nokia is expertise in battery so we can now reduce our battery problem through this phone.

    I hope if this budget phone receive good respond by users..than soon mid range and premium segment will be launch by Nokia in future….

      Gogi sir, any news regarding Samsung Galaxy neo+, Galaxy grand neo and Galaxy Note 3 neo….in india release..
      (Gs3 neo+ already listed in china online retailers) best thing it comes up with 2 simcard slots…all other specs are same as old…)

Nokia X is a low cost budget android phone….its nokia’s first attempt of living venilla android among lower budget customers…it will cost around 10-12k inr….Nokia just want to see what will be the respond of the handset by the customer…I hope they will soon launch somthing premium ,mid range android phone in future…But over all great attempt by Nokia…

  5. Wait and see, coz this might just be a rumour. Nokia lost their top position because of their attitude and really bad marketing. Their os, though it is not that bad. Everybody wants android this time coz it is very flexible and user friendly with lots of developer support. Maybe they still have not realised their mistake of not choosing the Android os in their phone.

    1. Bro, they replace popular Asha series phone with upgraded nokia android.
      Its entry level smartphone, feature to aise hi honge bhai..
      Price definatelly around 5k(like other Asha). or
      Android developer site says Android 4.4 kitkat smoothly work with 512mb ram.

      1. at least they should have provide front camera and rear cam with flash.that all we need in a basic phone in this 3g generation.

      it will come with andriod 4.4.1 and with nokia’s customized UI
