    1. Yeah.. it spoil the fun.. i was ready to buy it but i need magnetic sensor so badly usable in maps.

  1. I thought of selling my moto g4 plus and buying this oops it is hybrid sim type no thanks I am happy with my moto g4 plus.

      1. i use 128gb memory card and 50gb of data is there, just imagine how much time it take to transfer data to phone memory and again after year if i purchase new phone again transfer…. memory card and another sim flexibility cannot replace.

    1. Within few months another upgraded handset will available then this phone feels outdated just like redmi note 3 now.

        1. Technology is rapidly growing. Next gen smartphones will have in display fp scanner and transparent body.

  2. Very promising handset from Moto after a long time in terms of sensible pricing after long time. But they again disappointed on battery front. I’ve seen my friends struggling with Moto phones, getting half day backup after few months usage. Whats the fun in having good phone if you need to charge it in middle of work day or if it switches off when in dire need.

    1. Yea the dimple is back.. Moto is back with a great product at great price!! I just bought the grey color 😀

  3. Dear Gogi,

Would like to hear from you in detail about the camera, performance (heating in particular) and battery life of the 3 dual camera phones that are launched recently (coolpad play 6, Lenovo K8, Motorola G5S Plus) and the yet to be launched dual camera phone from Xiaomi (5X or a surprise new phone) before making a final decision.

  4. Hiiii Rana Sir . What is it’s RAM (DDR3 Vs DDR4) and memory standard (eMMC or UFS)??? PLEASE MENTION IN YOUR REVIEW SIR.

    1. The RAM is DDR3 – SD625 does not support DDR4. The Memory is eMMC again SD600 series. But given that the phone runs stock android – the overall fluidity would be far better than other phones.

I would be interested to see how Xiaomi reacts. Suddenly Redmi Note looks not comepetitive. Also hate the MIUI interface

  5. I have the moto g5 plus and it really feels unfair to launch the moto g5s plus just a few months after the moto g5 for a cheaper price. I’m never buying a moto phone again.

    1. Camera is way better in your phone with 1.7 aperture.
      Dont confuse with dual camera.

      1. It’s not just the camera, the build quality of the g5s is also better. Atleast moto could have given a good exchange offer for the people who bought the g5 plus

    2. Its not cheating.. Its market demand.. U can check any phone from. Iphone to mi phone..

      Ignore handset under 10k

      1. Ya gogi sir even I am interested in buying. But 3000 mAh battery sounds a bit worrying for me since this smartphone is so powerful. Even though sd 625 is a energy efficient processor, I am not sure about the battery backup

  6. compared to international pricing, it is very well priced in India. going by Motorola reputation of making great camera phones, this could be best all round camera centric phone for the price. it’s going to be close battle between Redmi 5X and Moto G5 S plus.

      1. This time both carry duel cameras, same processor, battery capacity and screen size. Only difference is software wih stock android on Moto and feature packed miui on 5X.

        1. Camera is among the few great things in my Mi5 man. It can beat the budget dual camera phones easily in pic and video quality.
But miui software sucks was planning to get rid of it. Later managed to unlock and install xiaomi.eu rom. Now performance is amazing with same miui and all good things still present.

  7. This phone comes with hybrid slot so the company wants you to choose between G5 Plus and this one. Bad move by Lenovo.

  8. Amazon is ruining moto.. No launch offers… Flipkart is best

We get food offer in flipkart

    1. Good offer or food offer bro. Did you receive 5 Kg sugar and 2 kg pulsws free in past as food offers. Joking man

  9. Now k8 note from the same company with superior battery and front cam
is selling for 1k less.. How can it be justfied?

    1. Huh? You get NFC, Snapdragon processor, 12gms less weight, dual band wifi, 4k video recording ,better build quality and a brand value of motorola.

    2. But rear cam in Moto is 13+13. K8 having 13+5. Processor difference is there.. Even design matters..

      1. Moto has ugly designs. Also battery is more important. Don’t just pile on the worthless features to support ur prejudice. What brand value u are talking abt? Its the same company, don’t be fooled.

        1. Why ppl buy oneplus vivo oppo.. Same company making fool to. Customers.

Think all are different.. Like Lenovo and Motorola

    3. K Series has MediaTek processors, while Moto G has Snapdragon. So if you like Custom ROMs you need to buy Moto G Series if not buy Lenovo K Note.
