Mogu is another Chinese phone maker gearing up to set their base in India. After UMI, JiaYu this is the third Chinese company that will start selling their products directly in India.

The Mogu Phones are based in Shenzhen and are already doing OEM for the Indian companies. Now they will directly sell their brand in India for which they will soon open retail store in Mumbai and a head office in New Delhi. As per the email that I received from then, they have submitted their products with Customs of India for low end MRP and taxation.

To start with Mogu will launch a 48$ (Approx Rs. 2,500) Phablet called Mogu S1 in India, they also claim it to be the world’s cheapest Phablet. This is a low end android phone and probably will come with single core processor.

Mogu will launch low end smartphones with price tag of about Rs. 2,500, mid segment phones with dual core processor, 4.5 inch screen for about Rs. 7000 to Rs. 8000 and high end quad core handsets with 13MP Camera for approx Rs. 10,000.
