As expected Microsoft has launched the dual SIM Lumia 640 for Rs. 11,999 and the Lumia 640 XL (dual SIM) for Rs. 15,799. These handsets will be available on Flipkart starting today and will also be available in retail stores within few days.

Though these handsets are available in 4G variant, Microsoft has launched only the 3G variant in India. Users will get Office 365 free subscription for 1 year along with 1 TeraByte of online storage (OneDrive) – this is for limited period only.

The Lumia 640 Dual SIM smartphone weighs about 145 grams and it is 8.8mm thick. It sports a 5 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is running WP8.1 with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 128GB external card support. This handset is powered by qualcomm snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad core processor.

Also included is an 8MP AF camera on the rear with flash and a 0.9MP front facing camera. Rear camera can shoot full HD videos. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The Lumia 640 houses a 2500 mAh battery that delivers up to 20 hours of talk time on a single charge. The dual SIM Microsoft Lumia 640 is priced at Rs. 11,999.

Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is also using the same qualcomm snapdragon 400 chipset running WP8.1 with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 128GB micro SD card support. This dual SIM handset sports a 5.7 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The handset comes with 13MP rear camera with flash and 5MP front facing camera.

Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Lumia 640 XL gets power from a 3000 mAh battery that gives about 23 hours of talk time on a full battery charge. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is price at Rs. 15,799.
