The LG Optimus L7 (P705) sails on a 1 GHz processor running the ICS (Android 4.0) OS. The main features are 5 MP camera, 4.3 inch touchscreen and a special user interface called Optimus 3.0. This handset is priced under Rs. 19,000.

The Optimus L7 does come with good feature but it’s far behind the time. Take for instance the 1 GHz processor, it’s not dual core but a single core. The market is buzzing with low cost android handsets running on 1 GHz and you have this high end L7 which I think is launched just too late. The handset weighs 122 grams and is 8.6 mm slim.

Display
It’s a single SIM GSM phone with a 4.3 inch touchscreen (IPS) display supporting resolution of 800 x 480 pixels with 16M colors. The resolution is very good best suited for browsing website and watching movies.

Camera
L7 houses dual camera a front VGA and a rear 5 MP with LED flash. The camera features are Face tracking, image editor, continuous shot mode, share option and auto flash. You can record videos at 480p resolution (30fps) this means HD videos are not possible.

Review
The looks are impressing and the handset is slim, well that’s all it has got. The 1 GHz single core processor is really no good considering the price tag. Another good thing about the phone is the IPS display and a 1700 mAh battery. If you can avoid this phone, for the same price (or some plus / minus) you can get a better phone, how about looking at Sony Xperia Sola and Sony Xperia U.
