According to Mahesh Telecom (Mobile Retailer), Lenovo A5000 is now available for Rs. 10,250. It seems Lenovo has silently launched this handset and once you go through the specification you will understand why it has been launched silently.

The Lenovo A5000 sports a 5 inch IPS screen with 1280 x 720pixels resolution. The key attraction is the battery of 4000 mAh capacity. But unfortunately the handset is powered by 1.3GHz Cortex A7 quad core processor (most likely using a MediaTek chipset).

The A5000 is loaded with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. There is micro SD card support of up to 32GB. This dual SIM handset with dual standby mode come loaded with 8MP auto focus camera on the rear and a 2MP fixed focus camera on the front. Rear camera is with LED flash support.

The handset weight is 160 grams with battery and it is running Android 4.4.2 out of the box. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. There is a 4000 mAh battery (non-removable) that should give up to 2 days of mixed usage on a single charge.
