The Kinivo ZX100 is a portable mini wired speaker that can easily connect with your mobiles and tablets and will deliver enhanced audio output. This device also comes with patented vacuum bass system (extension resonator), what’s that? read on.

Box Pack
Inside the box you will find the ZX100 mini speaker, USB cable that can be used to charge the ZX100, carrying pouch and user manual.

Design
This mini speaker is light weight at 96 grams, easy to carry and delivers excellent sound output. It’s with 3W output and the built in battery can be fully charged in about 2 hours. This is not a Bluetooth device. For connectivity there is a 3.5mm audio pin that you need to plugin into your smartphone’s or tablet’s 3.5mm audio jack.

Build quality is very good. The ZX100 is available in different 2 colour combination. The one I got for the review is grey and purple coloured. ZX100 has got a near about square body with curvy sides, looks futuristic and made of plastic.

There is a power button, volume rockers, LED indicator, micro USB for charging and a 3.5mm audio jack. You will also find a built in 3.5mm audio pin on the rear with a small cable that can be used to connect with your phone / tablet. You can also use the data cable with slightly bigger cable.

The 3.5mm audio jack on the ZX100 mini speaker can be used to connect other ZX100 devices in a series (check video review). The buttons are on the coloured strips. Press and hold the power button to switch on the device. By default the ZX100 will always start with 50% volume.

Performance
Kinivo ZX100 works with any devices with a 3.5mm audio port. Just plug it in and you will have the audio routed via this mini speaker. Sound quality is better than what you would have experienced on the phone / tablet, and it gets even better in resonator mode.

It takes about 2 hours to fully charge, you can use the speaker while charging. Once fully charge you can expect about 5 to 6 hours of usage.

Verdict
Today, everyone is using a mobile phone and they have their favorite music files on it. The mini speaker comes really handy in certain situations like parties, small gathering – in absence of a music system, you can easily transform your phone into a party player, with much louder and better sound quality.
