Jiayu’s official launch in India has been delayed as per their Facebook status update on 5th March. Probably the launch will happen somewhere in April. The handset pricing has not yet been finalized.

March 15th was the deadline but it seems there will be more delay. Even Micromax A116 is delayed. The Jiayu G4 is another quad core handset with MediaTek MT6589 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz. The handset is unique in the sense that it comes with Metal RIM.

The Jiayu G4 is with 2GB RAM. The Generation 2 Gorilla Glass display is 4.7 inches (IPS) with 1280×720 pixels resolution. The camera is of 13MP resolution and there is a 3MP front camera.  The handset runs on the jelly bean OS and supports dual SIM with dual standby mode. The battery is an impressive 3000 mAh that should give much more juice than the batteries found on many other handsets. For now we have limited info on this model.

As per the last Facebook status they will update the price on 15th March. Still no word as to when it will be available and as for the service centers…?, well even their website is under construction.

JiaYU G4

I would suggest users not to pre-book the handset unless you see some reviews, user experience and if they have setup service centers in India.
