Idea has now launched the Idea Ivory handset powered by a single core processor clocked at 1GHz with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage running on ICS OS. The handset supports 3G and since it is an Idea product users can also avail benefits via the idea network.

For the same price you can get a better deal, in fact even get a dual core Videocon A30 by spending some extra money (though getting the A30 is somewhat difficult -out of stock).  No doubt the Idea Ivory has got a unique look but considering the price and the specifications it does not seem worthy.

The Ivory sports a 3.5 inch screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution (262K colours). Other features included are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, G-Sensor, Bluetooth, SNS ready, micro USB and 3.5 mm jack. There is a 2MP rear camera which again is a disappointment. A 1300 mAh battery powers this handset.

The handset comes with a scheme wherein you pay Rs. 261 and enjoy free 1 GB 3G data access and idea TV for 3 months. The specifications are not impressive and the price is rather disappointing.
