  1. @To Gogi & all,

The below statement is straight from DXOMARK which is the most Trusted Industry Standard For Mobile Photography…

” Huawei P20 Pro beats the competition in virtually every category, taking the number one spots in both our Photo & Video rankings…If you are looking for the current best camera in a smartphone, look no further… ”

I just took a screenshot of the above statement & the Benchmark scores posted right on the Amazon India’s P20 Pro page….

Since I can’t upload image here directly, here’s the direct screenshot image link : https://image.ibb.co/mG8Uyc/P20_Pro_DXOMark.png

    Amazon’s P20 Pro page with more details : https://www.amazon.in/b?node=14838827031&pf_rd_p=bd93b5e3-214f-4886-a503-c199900f548b&pf_rd_r=TTQN6JRDWAAYT57M51ZF

Price is high because of Triple Leica OIS AI Enabled cameras…The price could have gone even higher if they would have gone for QHD screen…Huawei’s screens are pretty decent & sometimes even better than Samsung’s…FHD+ is a little downer but like I said earlier, If they would have gone for QHD/QHD+ screen, the price would have been upwards of 70k & I think they didn’t want that…Also QHD drains battery pretty quickly that’s why Samsung’s current gen phones offer an option to turn down the display resolution in the display settings…

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ have the default resolution as Full HD+…If anyone bought a new S8 & S8+, they would know this….You needed to manually increase the resolution to QHD in them…The factory settings were FHD+…Battery drain was the reason for a toned-down display resolution…

Infact most people won’t even notice the difference between a FHD+ & a QHD screen…

Anyways, if you want a QHD screen phone, get the S9/S9+…If you want the best camera phone available at this moment, get the P20 Pro…

Also not many people are aware much about Huawei…Even Samsung & Apple staffs would be shocked if they enter the Huawei HQ in HongKong…

Huawei even organized a Real Sci-Fi Event Organized in China which we can’t even imagine…

I don’t have Huawei smartphones…I only have a Galaxy Note 3 & an iPhone 5S but jo aachha hain usko aachha bolne se koyi problem nahi honi chahiye…

I have the Huawei Watch & the class is written all over it… 🙂

P.S. Huawei is World’s 3rd Biggest & Most Selling Mobile brand after Samsung & Apple…Many people may not aware of this…

Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo these can be popular in India & MI may have the biggest market in India but when considering Worldwide Top Mobile Phone companies, the Top 3 are Samsung, Apple & Huawei…

Huawei/Honor devices are equivalent to Samsung counterparts & sometimes even better but since they are a chinese company, they can never be as popular as Samsung & Apple because people thinks everything that comes out from China are of low-class junk but that’s not true…Even iPhones are Assembled in China lol…

For people who can bring this device from China & US, this is a very nice phone for cheap…

Huawei Honor Note 8…Except NFC & 4K recording it has everything…I wanted to buy it but I kinda require NFC & 4K…Otherwise it’s a superb phone under 25k…No company can give 6.6″ QHD Super Amoled in that price lol…And this model’s display was made by Samsung as Samsung has the propitiatory rights on the Super Amoled tech…Apple had to buy OLED screens from Samsung for their iPhone X & that’s why Iphone X costs so damn high lol…

Sorry for such a big comment…Most of you won’t even bother reading & it’s fine…I am little too crazy about these things to please bear with me… 😛

    1. The point is if you cannot make out the difference these ratings will make no difference. Camera is a complicated thing, one can mess up if they do not shoot in the proper way, also the difference between camera quality is so less that many would hardly notice. For normal user / most users the difference should be really big to actually understand.

    2. Most of the point agreed. But 1 thing from my side, this is what i feel bettween s9+ and p20 pro
You want a little better camera, dual volte support 4000 mah battery with huawei or

      1. A great display (qhd may be gimmick for some and battery draining for others but having a setting to select the resolution is not half bad,
      2. May be 3600 mah seems less then the 4000 mah on paper but practically its samsung( noting else need to be said)
      3. So many extra features like retina scanner and lots of useful softwares
      4. Samsung’s experience UI has come a long way and more experienced than the emui
      5. Way more powerful chipset(if u plan to use the phone for more then a year it will last a little longer then the huawei before it starts lagging)
      6. 1000 times better service then huawei. It has service center in every little town and provide the best service among all the smartphone brand in india.

Samsung is not a name its a brand. Most of the people will say this is good that is good but when they get the money to buy the phone they ultimately chose the s9+ over any other phine without a second thought. Main reason is no one buy a flagship phone to use for some month and sell it. In long run you’ll face some serious issues with these companies and if you are not living in a metro city then you’ll face a very bad experience in service

  3. At 35 k it would have done well. Kirin 970 is barely as good as Snapdragon 835, let alone 845. And this camera supports just 30 fps for 4k video recording with very average EIS(EIS is great at 1080p though)

Even the screen is just fhd+ Given that in EMUI you can change the effective resolution just like Samsung, they should have provided a 4k screen at least where you can tone down the resolution for intensive activities. Also headphone jack for ip67 rating is a bad trade-off.

Good news is that the price will drop quite quickly. Those looking for great battery life, terrific camera for still photos, and can adjust without a headphone jack should keep watching the price of this device

  4. Huawei has priced it too steep, could have been at least 20k less. I think the triple camera system performs near excellent but nothing stellar for sure.

    Gogi is it OIS enabled?

  6. In an international scale, the price seems to be lesser than the market but Indian customers are price conscious people. They’re ready to spend more only if you can justify the same. Apple can do it, Samsung can do it. Google can do it. Huawei need to be very aggressive to penetrate into the market which they failed. It might attract few niche customers but overall it’ll be a failure.

    1. In Singapore sites (lazada.sg), its selling for 53k to 58k, much lesser than Indian price.

  7. Huawei has priced it too steep, could have been at least 20k less. I think the triple camera system performs near excellent but nothing stellar for sure.

    Gogi is it OIS enabled?

  8. I think price is not that aggressive for Indian Market.! what do you think Gogi Sir?

    1. Considering triple cameras price is okay, but all depends on the camera quality if its worth.
