Design: The Glyph Bar Keeps It Different
The Phone (4b) does not look like a typical mid-range phone. It uses a smooth unibody shell with a soft-touch finish, while the transparent camera area gives it the familiar Nothing design language.
The standout feature is the Glyph Bar. The LED strip on the back can light up for calls, app alerts, timers and live updates, so you can keep the phone face down and still notice important notifications.
The phone carries an IP64 rating. That means it is protected from dust and can handle splashes or light rain, but it is not designed for swimming or full water immersion.
Camera: 50MP OIS and 4K Video
The main camera uses a 50MP sensor with OIS. Optical Image Stabilisation helps reduce hand shake, which can improve low-light photos and make video look steadier.
There is also an 8MP ultra-wide camera for group photos and wider scenes. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps, which is useful if video quality matters to you.
The phone also supports dual video capture, letting you record with the front and rear cameras at the same time. That can be useful for reactions, travel clips and vlogging.
Battery Life: 6,000mAh for India
The Indian Phone (4b) gets a 6,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 5,200mAh version sold in some other markets. For most users, it should comfortably handle a full day of regular use.
Charging is rated at 33W. Nothing claims around 50 percent charge in roughly 27 minutes, with a full charge taking around 80 minutes.
A vapour chamber cooling system helps spread heat during gaming and other demanding tasks.
Performance and Nothing OS
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is a 4nm chip built for daily apps, social media, streaming and casual gaming. The phone is also said to cross 1 million points on AnTuTu.
On the software side, Nothing OS 4.1 keeps the interface clean and adds Nothing’s Essential AI tools. These include Essential Space, Essential Search and Essential Voice for smarter typing.
Nothing promises 3 years of Android version upgrades and 6 years of security patches, which is a strong support period for a phone in this price range.
