Huawei is gearing up to bring forth two new android 4.0 powered handsets called the Huawei Ascend P1 and the Huawei Ascend P1 S recently shown at CES 2012. These android handsets come with high-end features and have everything that users are looking forward in 2012.

2012 is the age of Ice Cream Sandwich a.k.a. android 4.0 and you find the latest OS only on high-end devices. If you have been following the CES 2012 you may already be aware of few handsets that were showcased, powered by android 4.0.

Ice Cream Sandwich is new and probably will come for a price. Have a look at the Huawei Ascend P1 and Ascend P1 S features. Incidentally the Huawei Ascend P1 S claims to be the world’s thinnest phone (just 6.68 mm thin). The P1 S is bit costlier than the P1 version.

The only difference between the P1 and P1 S is the price and Huawei Ascend P1 is 6.7 mm thin while the P1 S model is just 6.68mm thin. The other features mentioned below are common for both this models.

The Ascend P1 / P1 S come powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Cortext-A9 Processor with PoverVR SGX540 GPU and running on android 4.0 OS. These handset supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mini HDMI, USB 2.0 and comes with built in GPS with A-GPS support.

The super AMOLED capacitive touch screen display screen is 4.3 inches supporting 960 by 540 resolutions with 16M colours. The 8 MP primary camera supports 1080 video recording at 30 fps and the 1.3 MP front facing camera can be used for taking self portrait shots, for video call and for video chats.

The android 4.0 OS comes with pre-loaded apps that include Google services (maps, gmail, search etc), messaging tools and social networking apps like Twitter, Facebook.
