Separating small laundry loads usually means running the washing machine again. The Haier M3 washing machine puts three independent drums in one appliance, so different loads can run at the same time. The new 12kg triple-drum model has launched in India at Rs 1,30,000.

How the Three-Drum Design Works
The main 10kg drum handles everyday laundry, while two separate 1kg drums are meant for smaller loads. You can keep delicate garments, innerwear or sportswear apart from the larger wash, without waiting for one load to finish before starting another.
All three drums can operate simultaneously. Haier says the design fits within a standard washing-machine footprint, making separate-load washing possible in one appliance.
AI Wash and Automatic Detergent Dosing
AI Wash recommends a washing programme based on the laundry load. The AI Smart Center coordinates the three drums, including water and power flow.
3-Drum Smart Dosing detects the load and required water volume to calculate detergent dispensing. Smart Dose also handles softener, reducing the need to measure it manually for every wash.
The M3 includes a colour touchscreen and Wi-Fi-enabled app control. Users can manage and customise wash cycles from a phone.
Essence Wash and Quick Clean
Essence Wash pre-mixes detergent before spraying it onto fabric. Fresh-water and centrifugal rinsing then help clear foam residue. Haier claims this mode can complete a full load in 39 minutes, with washing-time savings of up to 37%.
The separate Quick Clean mode is rated at 46 minutes, compared with 1 hour and 29 minutes in Haier’s stated comparison. These are two different wash modes, with different quoted cycle times.
Three Motors and Vibration Control
The M3 uses three Direct Motion Motors, Triple Drum Dynamic Balance technology and AI vibration control. These systems are designed to reduce vibration while the drums operate.
For families that regularly separate smaller loads from daily laundry, the main benefit is straightforward: three dedicated washing spaces with simultaneous operation. The AI settings and dosing features add convenience to that layout.
