Gionee at a mega launch event in Hyderabad, today launched the super slim 5.5mm thick Elife S7 in India. This handset is powered by 64 bit MediaTek octa core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and it is running Amigo OS 3.0 based on Android 5 Lollipop.
The Gionee Elife S7 is here, the latest in the Elife S series. This is a dual SIM handset (you need 2 nano SIM’s) with dual standby mode. As mentioned the S7 houses the 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 cortex A53 64 bit octa core chipset coupled with Mali T760 GPU. S7 is loaded with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
There is no micro SD card slot to add additional storage. Elife S7 comes with a 5.2 inch sAMOLED screen protected with corning gorilla glass 3 and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) resolution. This octa core handset also comes loaded with 8MP secondary camera (front camera) and 13MP primary (rear camera) with LED flash. S7 can shoot full HD videos.
The camera module used on the rear is then slimmest in the world. This also helps get a complete flat back panel.
Other features are DTS sound, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The 2750 mAh non-removable battery as per the company will give 2 days of mixed usage time on a full charge.
Gionee Elife S7 will be available soon for Rs. 24,999.
Gogi wouldn’t it be little more cheaper. Features and designings are good but the price little bit high. Cant it be for like rs 18000 ?
Gionee did a self goal with this pricing 5.5 mm does look impressive but 25K takes away all the excitement. Anything i.e. >18k in India will loose out on the mass market.
Gionee has very strong offline market Friends. So many of my Friends r using gionee mobiles like m2 , m3 , pioneer p3 ,p4 etc, I observed that Performance is excellent though they are overpriced. So many shop owners suggests Gionee than others my brother uses p3 with 512 mb ram but performs well it’s 5mp cam excels than many other 13mp cams. Only thing gionee need 2 do is to cut down the prices to some extent.
Gionee camera is not that great like you said. My friend using Gionee e3 its image out put is grainy, in low light lot if noise. My lava 504q 8mp is far better than gionee one, performance is also not that great I found that the UI itself slightly laggy. Its Good like mmx or xolo but Overpriced.
25000 Rs 16 GB internal storage no External storage. 13mp back camera. Media ten processor 1.7 ghtz speed.
What does zionee think ?
Certainly they have to bring down the price to 18000 Rs level
How many people uses 4G LTE?
E set ei dame cholbe na.
GiONEE E8 is coming, successor to E7, their perfect phone. By the way, Gionee CEO is reported to be saying that Lollipop upgrade will be rolled out for E7 by May-June and later for other smartphones. But can’t belive it as they just upgraded it to kitkat. Any confirmation, Gogi ?
Gionee have gone way back in the race with overpriced products. One more thing that is observed that GIONEE are just running after making the handsets slimmer & slimmer only but during this process, they are not able to price their products properly…..Better luck next time GIONEE….
They have strong offline market presence. So they get good sales and profit. In my area I noticed that shop keepers forces Gionee than any other brand. Some people think that high price means high quality. But dont understand why?
Yes, I am also using Gpad G4 as of now & I am a big fan of Gionee. They have build a good Brand Image in India since last 2 years or so. And yes, they have got their products visibility at retail counters very well. I also have an Elife E3, Pioneer P3 at my home. But, since the entry of Xiaomi, Asus, Lenovo with their competative pricing, Gionee has started to disappear from this race since last 6 months or so. I think they should wake up now & concentrate on Entry or Mid range products with attractive pricing instead of such High end and paper thin products.
Just waiting for Zenphone 2 Indian launch(confirmed for last week of April Indian Release),which will be my first ever Android phone!
Lenovo A7000 has same specs and it might be launched somewhere around 12k. 5.5 mm thickness nobody cares.
Buy Gionee E7 for only 179 USD on oppomart
What ??? 24999/- ?? Anyway gionee get some buyers from India .But its quite overpriced one can get htc device for the same price or can get galaxy s5 for around 25k .
Only 16gb without sd card support for Rs. 25000? Too much Overpriced chini phone.. It should be below Rs. 10000..
Gionee Is A Scrap Company. In China Gionee Doesn’t have good feedback. When gionee launched In India Customers hoped on gionee. But after gionee did a big disappointment. Gionee doing same thing like Samsung. High Price low Configuration. Same MT6752 With 3GB RAM Jiayu S3, Elephone P7000, Ecoo E004 available for under 13K.
