Which one is the best buy among the Redmi Note 3 and the recently launched Coolpad Note 5. Here is a brief comparison between these two handsets, this will give you a good idea about the one that is worth considering.

Both these handsets are powered by different chipset, the Coolpad Note 5 houses the Snapdragon 617 octa core whereas the Redmi Note 3 is using Snapdragon 650 hexa core. If you may recall the Moto G4 Plus is also using the Snapdragon 617 chipset and when you compare the benchmark with the Redmi Note 3 (i.e. SD 617 versus SD 650) the Note 3 is on the top, and powerful.

Having said that when it comes to general usage, you will not find much of a difference among the handset with SD 650 and SD 617. Higher the RAM capacity, the better the handset will multitask but for most users 2GB is more than sufficient.  Coolpad Note 5 definitely has an advantage as it comes with a good 4GB RAM.

coolpad note 5 versus redmi note 3

As far as the battery life is concerned both the Coolpad Note 5 and the Redmi Note 3 are packed with 4010 and 4050 mAh capacities respectively, and both handsets will give a very good battery life on a full charge. As far as build and looks are concerned Note 5 and Note 3 look almost the same.

Coming to the camera Redmi Note 3 camera is with f/2.0 aperture and the Coolpad Note 5 is with f/2.2 aperture. Though I have not yet reviewed the Coolpad Note 5 the camera quality will be better on the Redmi Note 3.

Should I buy the Redmi Note 3 or the Coolpad Note 5

Both the handsets are power packed and if you sum up the Redmi Note 3 is still a better option. If you can get the Note 3 well and good otherwise Coolpad Note 5 is a good option, but I would suggest wait for the Infocus Deca Core handset that will be launched soon.

You can buy the Redmi Note 3 or the Coolpad Note 5 from Amazon.in.
