Colorful has been quietly building a reputation in India’s gaming hardware space, mostly through its graphics cards. But the company is now swinging for something bigger. At Computex 2026, Colorful officially pulled the wraps off the iGame M15 Origo and iGame M16 Origo, two flagship gaming laptops that pack serious silicon into surprisingly slim frames.

RTX 5070 graphics, Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, 300Hz 2.5K displays, and an AI interaction system that does things most gaming laptops don’t bother with. That’s the pitch.

Let’s get into what these machines actually offer.

Two Chips, Two Philosophies

The iGame M15 Origo gets the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, a chip built on an 8P+16E hybrid architecture with 24 cores, 24 threads, and boost speeds hitting 5.5GHz. That’s a chip that doesn’t mess around when you throw heavy render jobs or simultaneous gaming streams at it.

The iGame M16 Origo takes a different route. It runs on the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, built on Intel’s brand-new 18A process node. Think of that as Intel’s most aggressive manufacturing step in years, baked in AI acceleration at the hardware level. This one’s aimed squarely at creators and power users who want intelligent workload handling baked in, not bolted on.

Both machines share the same GPU: a full-fat 115W NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop based on the Blackwell architecture. The full 115W TDP matters here. A lot of laptop manufacturers quietly throttle their GPUs to cut thermals. Colorful is claiming the full power envelope, which should show up in actual gaming benchmarks.

DLSS 4.5 multi-frame generation and NVIDIA Reflex 2 are on board for smoother frame pacing and lower input latency. If you’re playing competitive titles at 300Hz, you need both.

The Display Situation

300Hz at 2.5K on a 16:10 panel. That’s a genuinely solid combination for a gaming laptop in 2026.

Most gaming laptops either go high-resolution or high-refresh, then quietly compromise on the other. The iGame Origo series is trying to do both at once, and the 16:10 aspect ratio adds a bit of extra vertical real estate that makes a difference when you’re working in Premiere or Photoshop between gaming sessions.

500 nits peak brightness and 100% sRGB coverage round things out. It won’t match an OLED panel for contrast, but for a fast IPS display aimed at competitive gaming, the specs look right.

Cooling That Actually Has to Deliver

Thermal management on thin gaming laptops is where promises often go to die. Colorful is making a fairly specific claim: the iGame M15/M16 Origo’s cooling system can sustain 200W combined CPU and GPU output under simultaneous load.

The system uses dual silent fans, six reinforced heat pipes, phase-change thermal interface material, and a quad-exhaust airflow layout. Phase-change TIM in particular is a step up from standard thermal paste as it handles heat transfer more efficiently during high-sustained workloads.

Whether it actually holds 200W without throttling in real conditions is something that needs hands-on testing. But at least the architecture is built for it.

AI Features That Go Beyond Marketing

Colorful’s COLORFUL Netsite app (7彩虹互联) is the software layer tying all the AI features together. It runs on Android and connects your phone to the laptop.

Three features stand out:

AI voice startup lets you power on and wake the laptop through voice commands. Hands-free boot in a gaming rig sounds gimmicky until you actually use it.

Electronic fence technology auto-unlocks the laptop when your phone is nearby and locks it when you walk away. Proximity-based security without manually hitting Windows+L every time.

Remote presentation control lets your phone act as a wireless clicker and controller for the laptop. Useful for creators doing presentations or streaming setups where the laptop sits at a distance.

These aren’t features you’ll see on every gaming laptop. Whether they work smoothly in practice depends on software polish, but the concept is practical.

Design and Build

Colorful calls the aesthetic “cosmic ring-inspired,” and the two colour options, Ink Black and Starry White, play into that. The chassis uses aerospace-grade aluminium with a frosted finish.

At 19.9mm thin and 2.35kg, these sit comfortably in the thin-and-light gaming laptop bracket. You’re not going to feel punished carrying either to a LAN party or across an office.

India Availability and Pricing

Colorful has not announced India pricing or a release date yet. The iGame M15 and M16 Origo will be shown at Computex 2026, after which availability details are expected.

The iGame M15/M16 Origo laptops are not yet listed on Amazon.in. You can track them here once they go live:

Given the RTX 5070 with full 115W TDP and the Core Ultra 9 processor lineup, expect pricing to start somewhere in the Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh range if Colorful prices these aggressively for India. That’s speculation for now, but it’s a realistic bracket for this class of hardware.

Who Should Be Watching This

If you’re a gamer or creator looking at premium thin gaming laptops in the second half of 2026, the iGame Origo series deserves a spot on your shortlist. The RTX 5070 at full power is not a given in this segment. Pair that with a 300Hz 2.5K display, proper thermal headroom, and AI-assisted features, and Colorful is building something that goes toe-to-toe with established names.

The iGame M15 suits competitive gamers who want raw CPU speed and a tighter 15-inch form. The M16 leans toward creators and productivity users who’d benefit from Intel’s 18A AI acceleration and the slightly larger screen.

Keep this one bookmarked.
