The Asus Zenfone 5 with Intel chipset was a huge success and now Asus has already taken the next step – it is the Asus Zenfone 5 housing the qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor with 4G support and like the Intel Zenfone 5 this one too comes with 2GB RAM.
As far as the specifications are concerned the Zenfone 5 LTE (4G) version will sport a 5 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The processor is Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU. There is a good 2GB RAM and 16GB/64GB storage. Micro SD of up to 64GB is supported.
Common features like Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth will be included. Most likely the handset could be running the Android 4.4.x OS out of the box. And the best part is Asus have been proving frequent updates – the Intel Zenfone’s in India have got few updates since its launch.
Not sure when the Zenfone 5 4G will be launched in India but if the price is set right it could be as successful as the 3G Zenfone 5.
Mr. Gogi, why snapdragon? Is there any drawback with Intel? please tell me.
Processer intel to snapdragon…why change..gogi ji plz rpl
Gogi, can the price of Asus zenfone (4.5 inch screen) be dropped from 6999?
Gogi, how to cope up the situation if display got stuck somehow in smartphone like this with non-removable battery ?
Amit for almost all handsets with non-removable battery you can restart by pressing and holding the power button until the handset reboots (takes about 10 to 20 seconds).
It’s official, listed on Asus website. Model A500KL.

If price is right then it will create storm in India. Bye to Moto G.
Gogi any plans on releasing asus zenfone 450 review. If yes let me know i am waiting for review to buy.. I like your reviews…eagerly waiting.
So far no plans, but if I get it then will do.
just like the MOTO G 4G, this phone will most probably won’t see the light of day in India
Great phone but it lacks some essential feature like dual sim and having same big size (148 mm)
gogi, does zenfone’s intel atom processor support all playstore / non-market app without an issue ????????
please clearify.
Yes no issues on that, you can access play store and download apps, it runs Android.
Ya android is ok but heard like some market / non- market apps are not supportable on intel so bit worried until 100 % clarification ?
I think he meant the incompatibility that x86 produces over ARM
Even 15 months ago, I would have given you a different answer but today most mature apps have a version of the app optimized for the x86 environment which works well(I own a Dell Venue 7) Only apps started in the last 6-8 months may not have an intel-optimized version. Sometimes, the Intel version of an app may not be at the same stage at the arm-7 version but the updates will arrive in a matter of time. Intel owners are still second-class citizens of the android world in that any application is first written for arm-7 processors and only later optimized or a separate version written for Intel processors. But that is rapidly changing and it is already no problem to buy an Intel device for under 20 k. Higher than that, prefer the equivalent arm-7 version.
Best thing that should happen is asus could drop the price of present zen 5 and launch the 4G varient at same price as current 3G varient.
Wow awesome, but asus has released 6 updates in the span of 2 month.
Good move by Asus.
Just the pricing needs to be right.
Hope they might have understood this by now☺
