Asus sent out invites for their launch event scheduled on 14th September and as per sources it has been confirmed that the company will be launching only Zenfone 4 Selfie series for now on the launch date.

It however is still not clear if the company will launch 2 or more Selfie centric smartphones, we will know at the time of launch. There are many handsets in the Zenfone 4 Series, Initially we thought that the company would launch many devices but now confirmed it will be selfie centric phones.

We can expect Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro and probably more. Talking about Zenfone 4 selfie this is snapdragon 430 powered packed with good RAM / ROM and running Android Nougat on a 5.5 inch screen with HD resolution.

  1. And not to forget unpredictable updates for highly priced phones.

Many less priced phones got volte update but laser 2 (601kl) – even though having capable hardware – denied volte by Asus.

And those two Intel based zen phone 2 models( were sold around 24 to 28k depending on RAM-ROM) also denied volte. Intel processors supports volte or not is not known to me but SD in 601kl supports volte.

Still Asus stubborn not to give this basic update.

    1. Well think you can try visiting their service center nearby..if there’s no OTA update they might be able to do that manually if the hardware is capable as you mentioned..take it out as a complaint to them..no harm trying!!

  2. @lokesh parfectly said. i was too thinking the same. they will surely price it rediculously over priced.

  3. Asus will adopt the same old skimming tactics with this that it did back when in launched Zenfone 3 series. They charged ridiculously high prices for Zenfone 3, nearly 30k for 3gb/32gb variant which is now retailing for about 15k..They have ruined what the reputation they made with affordable Zenfone 5 & Zenfone 2 series (with the likes of Zenfone 2 laser & Max) which sold like hot cake..they are arguably better built than Xiaomi or even Samsung and they know that but they can’t command such high prices..just my 2 cents!!
