Amazfit just dropped its newest smartwatch in India, and the Bip Max is not playing small. Bigger screen, bigger battery, more storage, more sports modes. The successor to the Bip 6 arrives at Rs 10,999 and goes after anyone who wants a genuinely capable fitness watch without spending Garmin money.
Is it the most stylish watch in its price bracket? Probably not. But if you train seriously and want a wrist companion that keeps up, the Bip Max makes a strong case.

Design and Display
The Amazfit Bip Max wears a 50mm case with an aluminum alloy frame. At 52.6g including the strap, it sits lighter than you’d expect for its size. Two physical buttons, a clean silicone band, and a 22mm strap width round out the package.

The star of the show is the 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 432 x 514 pixels and a PPI of 324. Peak brightness hits 3,000 nits, which puts it ahead of nearly everything in this segment when it comes to outdoor readability. Tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating handles day-to-day abuse reasonably well.
Three color options are available: Silver, Dark Blue, and Carbon Gray.
The case measures 42.76 x 49.58mm and sits 13.24mm thick including the heart rate sensor. Not thin, but not uncomfortable either.
Battery Life
Amazfit claims up to 20 days on a single charge under typical conditions, dropping to 10 days under heavy usage. Always-on display mode brings that down to 7 days. Continuous GPS tracking gets you up to 40 hours.

The battery pack is rated at 550 mAh. No USB-C cable ships in the box, just a magnetic charging base. Amazfit says this is a sustainability decision. Practical or not, factor in the extra cable if you don’t have spares.
Fitness and Sports Tracking
This is where the Bip Max puts in serious work.
150+ sports modes cover everything from outdoor running, cycling, and swimming to HYROX race training, yoga, Pilates, strength training, and even niche activities like pole dancing, equestrianism, and foosball. For hybrid training specifically, the Bip Max supports a structured approach combining endurance, strength, and recovery.

Built-in GPS connects to five satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS. Smart Trajectory Correction and a Virtual Pacer come along for outdoor runs.
The watch auto-recognizes 25 strength training movements and 8 sports activities. Training plans from TrainingPeaks, Runna, and Intervals.icu sync automatically, and completed activities push to Strava, adidas Running, komoot, Google Fit, and Apple Health.
Zepp Coach generates personalized training plans that adapt based on recovery and performance data. Gear tracking, for running shoes and cycling equipment, helps manage wear over time.
Health Monitoring
The BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor handles continuous heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), and stress monitoring around the clock. Sleep tracking covers stages including REM, daytime naps, and sleep breathing quality.
BioCharge is Amazfit’s energy monitoring system. The score updates from the moment you wake up, adjusting throughout the day based on workouts, activity, and stress.

Price and Availability
The Amazfit Bip Max is priced at Rs 10,999 in India and is available now. Amazfit is also offering an introductory price of Rs 10,999 against an MRP of Rs 11,999.
Thoughts
At Rs 10,999, the Amazfit Bip Max does not have many rivals that check this many boxes simultaneously. The combination of a bright large AMOLED panel, genuine 20-day battery, onboard GPS, 4GB storage, and structured training support is genuinely hard to beat at this price point.
The no-NFC situation is a miss for anyone wanting tap-to-pay. The chunky case may not suit smaller wrists. But for the fitness-first crowd who want a proper training partner without the flagship price tag, the Bip Max is worth a serious look.
