EMI options start from around ₹11,002 per month.
The final on-road price will include registration charges, insurance, FASTag and other small charges.
As a rough estimate, buyers can expect the on-road price to be around 10 to 15 percent higher than the ex-showroom price, depending on the city and insurance plan.
Tata Aeris Launch and Delivery Date
The Tata Aeris was launched in India on September 25, 2026.
Bookings are already open through Tata Motors dealerships and the company’s official website.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin from October 11, 2026, which also marks the first day of Navratri.
Interestingly, the Aeris is meant only for private customers. Tata will continue offering the older Xpres sedan to taxi and fleet operators.
Tata Aeris Variants Explained
Tata is offering the Aeris in five main variants:
Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished.
Each higher variant adds more comfort, technology and safety features.

Tata Aeris Smart

It gets:
- Six airbags
- 12.7 cm digital instrument display
- ISOFIX child seat mounts
- ABS with EBD
- Rear parking sensors

Six airbags being standard even on the entry-level model is one of the biggest highlights.

- Height-adjustable driver’s seat
- Steering-mounted audio controls

The Pure+ version adds the features that many buyers will probably want in a daily-use family car.
It comes with:
- 20.32 cm floating touchscreen

Safety equipment also improves.
Pure+ gets:
- ESP with traction control
- Hill-hold control

Petrol versions of the Pure+ also get 15-inch Dynamic Hyperstyle wheels.
For buyers who do not need all the premium features of the top model, the Pure+ offers a useful mix of equipment and price.
Tata Aeris Creative
The Creative trim focuses more on technology.
The touchscreen becomes a larger 26.03 cm Ultra View HD display, which is roughly 10.25 inches.
Other features include:
- 360-degree camera
- 2D and 3D camera views
- Blind View Monitor
- Automatic climate control
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Automatic headlamps
- Keyless entry
- Push-button start
- Infinity LED connected tail lamps
The 360-degree camera should be especially useful when parking the car in tight city spaces.

Tata Aeris Accomplished
The Accomplished is the top-end Aeris.
This model gets some of the most interesting features available in the range.
Highlights include:
- AeroLux ventilated front seats
- LuxTouch leatherette upholstery
- Built-in dashcam/DVR
- Dual smartphone deck
- Wireless charging
- LED fog lamps
- iRA connected-car technology with more than 35 features
- 65W rear USB-C charging
- Dual-tone black roof
The ventilated seats are particularly useful during hot Indian summers.
Tata Aeris CNG Gets Twin-Cylinder Technology
The Tata Aeris CNG is available right from launch.
Customers can choose between manual and AMT gearbox options.
AMT stands for Automated Manual Transmission. It works like an automatic gearbox for everyday driving while using a manual gearbox-based system underneath.
Tata is using its familiar twin-cylinder CNG setup.
Instead of placing one large CNG cylinder inside the boot, the Aeris uses two smaller cylinders positioned below the boot floor.
The CNG tanks have a combined capacity of 70 litres water capacity, while the regular petrol tank holds 35 litres.
This layout helps preserve more usable luggage space.
Another useful feature is direct CNG starting.
The Aeris can start directly using CNG instead of first starting on petrol and switching to gas later.
Tata Aeris CNG Safety Features
Tata has also added several safety systems to the factory-fitted CNG setup.
The system can detect a gas leak and automatically switch the engine to petrol.
There is also thermal incident protection, which cuts the CNG supply and safely releases gas if temperatures rise beyond safe limits.
Tata even provides a fire extinguisher below the co-driver’s seat.
Tata Aeris Engine, Specifications and Mileage
The Tata Aeris uses a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine.
This engine is already used in models such as the Tata Tiago, Tigor, Punch and Altroz.
| Specification | Aeris Petrol | Aeris iCNG |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 1.2L Revotron, 1199 cc | 1.2L Revotron, 1199 cc |
| Cylinders | 3 | 3 |
| Power | 86 PS at 6000 rpm | 75.5 PS at 6000 rpm |
| Torque | 113 Nm at 3300 rpm | 96.5 Nm at 3500 rpm |
| Gearbox | 5-speed MT and AMT | 5-speed MT and AMT |
| Tyres | 175/65 R14 on Smart and Pure, 175/60 R15 on Pure+ and above | 175/65 R14 on all variants |
| Fuel Tank | 35 litres | 35L petrol + 70L CNG water capacity |
| Brakes | Front disc, rear drum | Front disc, rear drum |
The AMT variants also get paddle shifters, allowing the driver to manually change gears using controls behind the steering wheel.

Tata Aeris Mileage
Official ARAI-certified Tata Aeris mileage figures were not included in the launch information.
Since the engine is similar to the outgoing Tigor, mileage could be close to the Tigor’s figures of around 19 kmpl for petrol and approximately 26 km/kg for CNG.
These numbers should be treated only as a reference until Tata releases official Aeris mileage figures.
Tata Aeris Features That Make It Interesting
The Aeris gets several features that are uncommon in this price range.
Ventilated Front Seats
The top variant gets ventilated seats.
Small perforations in the seat allow air to flow around your back and thighs, helping reduce discomfort during hot weather.
For buyers living in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai or Hyderabad, this is a feature that can actually make a noticeable difference.
Cooled Glove Box
The Aeris also offers a cooled glove box, allowing bottles and small items to remain cooler using air from the AC system.
Built-In Dashcam
A factory-fitted dashcam is available on the top model.
It can record footage while driving, which can be useful if there is an accident or road dispute.
Premium OpenView Dashboard
The cabin uses what Tata calls its Premium OpenView dashboard design.
The touchscreen sits above the dashboard, while the centre console gets a leatherette armrest and additional storage.
Rear passengers also get an armrest with cupholders along with rear AC vents.
Six-Speaker Audio System
Higher variants get a six-speaker setup, consisting of four regular speakers and two tweeters.
Tata iRA Connected Features
The iRA connected-car app allows owners to check information such as the vehicle’s location and lock status from their smartphone.
Tata includes the first year of the connected service subscription.
Tata Aeris Safety Features
Safety is another major area where Tata has focused with the Aeris.
The company refers to its safety package as the Safety Dome.
Most importantly, six airbags are standard across every variant, including the base Smart model.
Higher versions add ESP and traction control.
ESP, or Electronic Stability Program, can apply braking force to individual wheels if the vehicle starts losing stability during a turn.
Traction control helps prevent excessive wheelspin on slippery surfaces.
Hill Hold Control
Hill hold control prevents the car from rolling backwards while starting on an incline.
This can be useful when driving on flyover ramps, hills or steep basement parking exits.
iTPMS
The iTPMS tyre-pressure monitoring system warns the driver if tyre pressure drops.
Blind View Monitor
The Blind View Monitor displays a live camera view when the indicator is switched on.
Together with the 360-degree camera, it should make parking and changing lanes easier.
All seats also get three-point seat belts with reminders, while ISOFIX mounts are provided for compatible child seats.
Tata Aeris Ground Clearance, Boot Space and Dimensions
The Tata Aeris ground clearance is 170 mm.
Tata also claims improved approach, departure and ramp-over angles, which should help reduce scraping over large speed breakers and steep ramps.
| Dimension | Tata Aeris |
|---|---|
| Length | 3995 mm |
| Width | 1684 mm |
| Height | 1536 mm |
| Wheelbase | 2450 mm |
| Ground Clearance | 170 mm |
| Boot Space Petrol | 419 litres |
| Warranty | 3 years or 1,00,000 km |
The petrol version offers a large 419-litre boot.
On the CNG model, Tata’s twin-cylinder design allows the cylinders to sit beneath the boot floor, leaving more usable luggage space than a traditional single-cylinder CNG layout.
Tata Aeris vs Maruti Dzire vs Hyundai Aura vs Honda Amaze
The Aeris competes directly with some well-known compact sedans in India.
| Car | Starting Price Ex-showroom | Main Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Tata Aeris | ₹5.29 lakh | Six airbags standard, ventilated seats, 360 camera, dashcam, 419L boot |
| Maruti Suzuki Dzire | ₹6.31 lakh | Good resale value, large service network, fuel-efficient engine |
| Hyundai Aura | ₹6.00 lakh | Refined driving experience and factory CNG option |
| Honda Amaze | ₹7.65 lakh | Smooth petrol engine and CVT automatic |
The Tata Aeris starts at a lower price than all three rivals in this comparison.
Its 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine is more focused on practical city driving than outright performance, but Tata is offering a long list of comfort and technology features for the money.
Tata Aeris vs Tata Tigor: What Has Changed?
Many buyers may have been expecting a Tata Tigor facelift for 2026, but Tata has instead introduced a new name along with a major update.
The Aeris is around 2 mm longer and 7 mm wider than the outgoing Tigor.
The exterior gets:
- Slimmer LED headlamps
- Eyebrow-style LED DRLs
- Gloss-black grille
- Redesigned bumpers
- New alloy wheel designs
The cabin has also been refreshed and takes some design inspiration from the latest Tiago.
More importantly, features such as ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, dashcam and wireless charging have been added.
Despite all these additions, the starting price of the Aeris is around ₹40,000 lower than the Tigor it replaces.
The Tigor was previously priced from around ₹5.70 lakh to ₹9.10 lakh.
Tata Aeris Colours
The Tata Aeris is available in six colours:
- Dandeli Drizzle
- Dune Glow
- Nitro Crimson
- Pure Grey
- Daytona Grey
- Pristine White
Dandeli Drizzle is the lilac-purple shade used prominently during the launch.
A dual-tone black roof is available on the Accomplished variant.
Colour availability may differ depending on the variant and fuel option.
Useful Accessories for Tata Aeris
Owners may also want a few practical accessories for everyday use.
Since the Aeris is similar in size to the Tigor, several Tigor accessories may fit, but always check compatibility before ordering.
| Accessory | Why It Is Useful | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Custom Floor Mats | Helps protect the carpet from dust, mud and monsoon water | Check price on Amazon |
| Car Body Cover | Protects the paint from dust, sunlight and bird droppings | Browse body covers |
| Digital Tyre Inflator | Useful when the tyre-pressure system warns about low pressure | See inflator deals |
| ISOFIX Baby Car Seat | Can be attached directly to the car’s ISOFIX mounting points | View ISOFIX seats |
| Dashboard Phone Holder | Handy on Smart and Pure models where the phone can be used for navigation | Shop phone holders |
| Portable Car Vacuum | Makes cleaning the seats and cabin easier | Find car vacuums |
| Seat Covers | Helps protect seats on Smart to Creative variants | Explore seat covers |
One thing to remember is that regular thick seat covers should preferably be avoided on the Accomplished variant.
They could cover the small ventilation holes and reduce the effectiveness of the ventilated front seats.
